Hi, I can confirm (regarding one) it is fixed. On Android tablet and iPhone map is displayed in Portrait and Landscape Mode.

What you’re describing — similar mileage but a much longer duration on the TomTom compared to MRA — is actually pretty common and can be due to a few reasons: TomTom’s Routing Preferences: TomTom devices often recalculate routes using their own algorithms and settings, which include speed limits, road types, and traffic conditions. Even if the distance is similar, if TomTom “thinks” some roads will take longer (due to lower speed limits, traffic, or road classes), the estimated duration can increase significantly. Speed Profile Differences: MRA might use an average speed or estimated speed profile that differs from TomTom’s. For example, MRA may estimate your trip speed based on typical motorcycle speeds, while TomTom uses its own speed limits and historical traffic data, which can add time. Traffic and Road Conditions: The TomTom Rider 550 has live traffic information and road hazard alerts. If the device detects slow traffic flows, accidents, roadworks, or other delays along your route, it can estimate a longer travel time. This can explain why the estimated time on the TomTom sometimes increases significantly. How long are your routes? The longer they are, the bigger the difference can be.

My only comment would be that you might want to try the app with an otherwise redundant phone. I use it with an old Motorola G7 on Android 10. I did a Factory reset on that phone and only run Navigation apps on it. Google maps for point to point. OSMand+ for offroad navigation and Myroute app for motorcycle road navigation and it works fine. My Honda and my car both have dedicated GPS receivers built into the Android Auto head unit I believe that this is not the case for the Carpuride which means the phone has to do additional work locating the device in relation to the app. But at least if you give another phone a try you might be able to narrow down the issue to the app, phone, connection to the Carpuride or GPS signal. I don't know?? but those would be the type of issues I'd be trying to eliminate.

@Pattepat This is something that the developers will add at some point. I don't think it is as quick and easy to add as some people think it is, but nonetheless, when the more important updates are completed the developers will have more time for fun things like a free ride mode.

@Jonathan-1f, that is by design. Hence the name "Dynamic view". Top Down and North Up both have only manual zooming. (Although a request for change has already been proposed).

The skip waypoint button can be used in 2 ways: tap it, and tap "confirm" in the popup. If you do not do the latter, it will not skip anything. long-press it, and it immediately skips to the next waypoint, without any confirmation. We will see how we get on in a few weeks time but have a backup plan in place as again, I don't have time to troubleshoot whilst on a trip. I have much experience with Streetpilots and Zumos, and they all need an equal of amount of troubleshooting different things. You just need to get acquainted with your device (and app in case of a smartphone).

@Arjan-de-Vries, Zoals Leike al aangeeft, je kunt het niet altijd voorkomen. Je kunt vreselijk veel moeite steken in het proberen te voorkomen, maar in de praktijk zijn veel wegopbrekingen in het weekend toch toegankelijk, en heb je dus alle moeite voor niets gedaan. Ik rij ik meestal gewoon door, en vaak blijkt het voor een motorrijder helemaal niet zo afgesloten te zijn als dat ze doen voorkomen. Ik los het ter plaatse wel op.

It are roads that have a certain amount of curvature, that's it really. An inspiration to find areas with nice roads.

Als verkeersincidenten en verkeersinformatie aanstaat kan het zijn dat je route omgeleid wordt om deze te vermijden. Mocht deze aanstaan, uitzetten (zowel in de Drive app als in de 1095) en kijk wat er met je MRA route gpx 1.1 gebeurt. Zet eens herberekenen uit zoals Marinus al schreef (indien mogelijk want op de meeste outdoor toestellen van Garmin kan dit niet en dan wordt er herberekend rekening houdende met de voertuiginstellingen; dimensies) en kijk wat er dan gebeurt. Indien niet mogelijk ga je je route eerst in MRA web routeplanner moeten optimaliseren om zo min mogelijk afwijkingen te krijgen. Kan je hier een link plaatsen van je route zodat ik deze eens kan bekijken hoe deze er uit ziet en suggesties doen.

@AWDC-LAO Totally unnecessary if you are only planning the route for yourself. You just need to use the planning map that best suits your navigation device.

My Navigator 5 and 6 are in the BIN and brned them ! I do'n' want to resell them for avoiding people going crazy !
