@TomOnTour ...yes, I agree: without discipline, each discussion or common work can fall in chaos. But I love it to work in a team; also in developing a group ride. It can be funny and will bring the whole team in a good mood, if each member can spend input - just in front the tour. I would like to wait for an idea, how the MRA developers will be able find a realisation. Then it's still the right moment if this solution idea will bring a benefit for tour guides

Maybe it was just luck that the two ferries I tried seemed to be calculated almost to the minute correctly. I'll see when planning other routes in the future if that seems to be the case with all ferries or not.

@Robert-Laudensack Tomtom has the best traffic information there is. So if you compare your route with Tomtom is you will have less trouble when you driving. The traffic info from Here maps is not so good and would not tell you why you can not pass that road.

@Stephan-Dornberg said in Maps loading slow: I would love to see the maps that are in the DMD2 app available in MRA. Those are beautiful maps with a lot of helpful detail. The OSM in MRA is pretty plain by comparison. You're probably referring to DMD's "offroad" map with its nicely colour-graded tracks: [image: 1767367670214-tracks.jpg] It's an OSM map with a customised rendering theme; it's an approach used by many other apps on the market - no rocket science. According to recent posts, DMD will implement a feature that lets users create their own themes, configuring what to see, at which zoom level, and in which style. For both the web planner and the app - that's going really wild... However, if we can see all these tracks, we likely want to route them, and that's where things get tricky. DMD uses BRouter as a routing engine with highly customised routing profiles. I don't know if there are other options. More support for off-road routing has been requested many times; let's see what the MRA new web planner will offer. It's under development for about a year now, and expectations are high

@Neil-Bartlett Thanks for the advice. After a crash of my ZUMO XT and a replacement by Garmin this possibility had gone. Now it's back again. Lucky me!

@Bjorn-Bjornstad As @Jörgen said, no. Think of favourites as bookmarks to help you quickly find a favourite location. Once a favourite is shown on the screen you can add it as a route point.

@Richard-18 said in GBD files into MyRoute: If Routeplanner could be extended to cater for GBD, it would be near enough perfect for me. I don't think that will ever happen, since GDB is not a very common file format for exchanging routes.

I agree. It would be good to change the colour of the ‘pink’ point 11 in the sample picture to say, grey. I have always thought the ‘pink’ too close to red. Even better, if were possible for the user to chose the colour.

@Routemaster I agree with you 100% but the devs & MRA Illuminati think otherwise so don't hold your breath for any changes Previous forum threads on this topic & info on the secret "contains a number" filter https://forum.myrouteapp.com/post/49593 https://forum.myrouteapp.com/post/51050 As I have said many times, the whole idea of announcements at fixed distances IMO is just totally absurd, the announcements should actually be calculated by estimated time to point, the system has speed & distance so that is a trivial calculation (& don't say speed varies, you can average or extrapolate) e.g. traveling at 10km an hour with the current setup I get a Via point announcement at 2km which is 12 minutes before I arrive at the Via point, you can pick faster speeds but it is still ludicrous, you have to be doing > 120km/hr for the announcement to be heard at a reasonable interval before the point & yes the superfluous pretty useless "you have reached waypoint numberX" why this announcement can't just be modified to actually announce the waypoint name IMO these changes would make MRA better

Thanks to all for the comments and thoughts. I do realize that the current design is not made for that. That is why I was suggesting a sort of super structure. I fully understand that the actual planing has its limits. I was just wondering if there would be a way to easier rough plan, split and then recombine routes/track logs.

@Brian-McG said in Waypoin automatic correction: you then still have to review the route as I say unless you 100% trust the auto snap is going know which road you really want to choose Yes of course, but reviewing waypoints which are already exactly on the road 95% of them is much more comfortable then having to move 95% of them fr them to be perfect . I am certainly NOT claiming that review can be skipped in that case.
