I used the Drive app when I am away from my PC. I did have the exporter working, but it stopped with the device not found error. Thought is was my PC so rebuilt it, but got the same. I use drag and drop in windows explorer from now . Just wondered whey the exporter wasn't working as advertised.

Nick, Thanks so much! It was there all along! Sometimes the simplest things can make a big difference! Just when I think I have a pretty good handle on this route planner, I find something else I should have known... Thanks again, Jim O'Dowd

@Reinhard-Punz I think the system is working pretty much as intended Any avoidance setting set in the MRA web planner is set the same in the MRA app for that route, the settings are part of the route & are synchronised in your account When planning if you want to ignore road closures then "Disable Seasonal Closure" option should be enabled this way you can plan the path you want to take regardless of what the road situation maybe today, in 6 months or a year from now The term "Seasonal" is a poor description of what the function does, originally it was for winter high mountain passes but its function has been expanded so now it also ignores temporary road closures If in the navigation app you decide to be online allow traffic aware route calculations of course the app will recalculate the route with the current data it has available As you have correctly discovered if you want to ride a route exactly as you have planned then you have to ride the path as a track & for complete peace of mind be in offline mode, that way nothing can interfere with your plan If you want to ride as a route then your open to changes being made to the planned path You cant blame the app for doing what you tell it to do In your settings you may find it useful to enable the function "Navigation Settings > Screen Layout > Lines > Show Original Route" This displays a white line of the original route/track on the background of the map so you can easily see where the directional path is deviating from the original planed path

Sorted - thanks guys. I thought I had deleted the app off the Android…..but I hadn’t. I’m not an Android person. Thanks again for your time and patience.

it would also be nice if the spoken name didn't 'spell' out the entire number for roads that contain 3+ numbers. For example, in Texas, there are 'Farm to Market Roads' that are generally 4 numbers long - ie: FM2920. It gets announced as "FM two thousand nine hundred and twenty" - takes way long to say that than it does to read. Not sure if this is a MRA or HERE thing. EVERY other nav app says it as "FM twenty nine twenty"

I also find the Expand feature to be extremely frustrating at times. Here's an example where I created a 293.63km route with 8 waypoints. I currently export my routes to my Garmin 595 so want to Expand the route to include some extra shaping points. I Expand the route to 15 points total and the new route goes from 293.63km to 553.54km!!!! Note that my original points are all in the correct order. I sure hope that this feature can both be retained and improved in the new planner as when it works it can be very useful. @Alfonso-Hurtado-de-Mendoza said: But the navigation app does not appear in the phone as one of the apps that can be used with Android Auto. Verify if the app is checked or not for being displayed in Android Auto: On your phone, go to Settings > Connected Devices > Android Auto. Tap Customize launcher. Look for your app in the list. If it is unchecked, tap the checkbox to make it visible. Restart Android Auto !

@Ron-33 interesting workaround, saves all the hassle of copying/updating routes in a Group & gets around maintaining a large friends list plus still allows sharing of the route to those with the link, well solved
