@k1w1 It’s an offer for a lifetime membership for the MyRoute-app Navigation app, a separate app from the route planner that allows turn by turn navigation from your smartphone or tablet.

@pierre-yves-sibille Good idea although I would like this detail as an option that I can switch off when I want to record the route.

@steve-lynch you can create collections in the Garmin Explore Apps.[image: 1640106340266-garmin-explore-collection.jpg] @K1W1 I agree that there needs to be more info about the issues relating to the Zumo XT hard connection to Mac OS. When I connect to my Mac for file transfer, I use Macdroid App (licence needed - https://www.macdroid.app/android-file-transfer/) although I know a lot of people use Android File Transfer (free - https://www.android.com/filetransfer/). I have tried both and they allow me to place information on the units file structure and Micro SD Card. Unlike Windows however, you can only have one app connected at a time to your XT and cannot run POI Loader or Garmin Express at the same time - hope that makes sense. Not ideal but it is another option if you want to add additional files to your XT from a Mac. There are several other 'apps' for Mac out there, but I have had no experience of them. Also have a look at the Zumo User Forums website as you will find a lot of useful information concerning Mac connection and the XT.

Matt, I meant what I said. I’m not telling you to shut up. I said that I’m sad that you’re still unhappy because I was under the impression that we fixed your performance AND refunded you for a bad experience. Moving forward from that impression, you can imagine my surprise at hearing about an “extremely unsatisfied customer” on the forums that “absolutely required an elaborate reaction” by me, only to find out it’s you . Sorry if that wasn’t clear to begin with. Out of thousands of satisfied users using MRA Navigation there is a small percentage that’s experiencing issues. The vast overwhelming majority is able to use MRA Navigation exactly as marketed: as a replacement and/or back-up Navigation app. Look around, there are plenty of people who are essentially saying “I’m having a good experience with MRA Navigation”. Of course that’s less than the amount of voices on a forum going “This is crap”, because that’s what people on forums tend to do. The difference between us and other companies is that we don’t sterilize our communication channels from dissenting voices. For some this makes us look bad, because we don’t remove criticism or force it to go elsewhere where it’s less likely to be seen. Now I want, and I know you want this too, to have a good conversation about this subject with the people that are least happy in our community. I don’t have a magic wand, but based on your previous dealings with us I hope you at least have the confidence that I take what’s being said seriously and do what I can to give a clearer view of the future of MRA Navigation. To tip that off: in the coming weeks we’ll publish a clear roadmap for MRA Navigation in the same way we have for MRA Routeplanner. Our support team is also going to use your examples to review their answers and the way issues are presented to the management. MRA is a company nowhere near in size to TomTom, OSM or even Sygic. The fact that we’re being compared with those companies is a compliment in itself, since it’s what we aspire to, but again, we’re nowhere near their capacity at this time. For those unsatisfied with MRA Navigation or having unresolvable issues at this time our policy remains equitable and clear: we will refund you and hope to welcome you back at a later time. Anyone with remaining questions or remarks can send them to me or the support team directly. (I usually answer in a few days). For now, the discussion has devolved far from the original topic so I'm locking this thread.

@hans-van-de-ven-mra-master Thanks Hans, I'm in now and have changed my email on the Gold account and deleted the old basic one, wasn't bothered for the old routes so just let them go. On to creating some new ones now at Gold standard. Thanks for your help.

@yannick-van-camp Yes, it's quite easy. This guide explains how to do it: https://support.myrouteapp.com/support/solutions/articles/12000020530-manual-display-and-merge-multiple-routes- I found it by clicking on "Support" at the top of the MRA-Web site and entering the word "merge" in the search field there.

This is such a convoluted matter that it’s little wonder there is confusion! In my view, it shouldn’t be necessary to be discussing it at all, given that providing the ability to load routes onto devices to enable offline mode fully would be a complete cure… However… With both iPhone and iPad, in relation to @Con-Hennekens’ last post, what I have found is the opposite. I know it seems illogical (to put it mildly!) but, IN OFFLINE MODE, I am unable to return to a route UNLESS I DO CLOSE THE APP COMPLETELY BY STOPPING IT RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND! If I don’t do this, I can’t return to navigation from the “route overview” screen - I just get endless buffering. My brain hurts.

@steve-lynch No, personally I only use the Garmin Drive App in an emergency when there is no PC available to use. I save all routes via the connector, and for multi-day trips, I save them as (gpx 1.1 (Route, Track, POI) on my PC and put it on my SD card on the XT. Note, you can save up to 10 routes at once on your PC, these will be saved as a .zip file. Just unzip and put it on your XT in the correct folder on your XT or SD card on your XT. Only the route and Track that I am going to drive are visible in "My Trips" and Tracks

@hans-van-de-ven-mra-master said in Suggestion: use folder structure to select route in apps for navigation and tracking: A folder structure is not allowed in AppleCarplay (as far as I know). Hmm, I guess they consider it a danger to be browsing through folders while driving? I also guess they are forgetting that scrolling through endless lists is maybe even more of a danger, and drivers usually do that BEFORE they are driving...

@nick-dawson Could your pal not send it to you, stating on the customs label that it is property being returned to you? This is a bona fide means of avoiding VAT and import duties which I have used to send stuff to family in Ireland (you might want to look into t’s & c’s though).

@nick-carthew 1: the charge point data in 'open charge map' is live, being updated to show which chargers are working and in some cases, if they are in use. 2: copying the charge point data is not a free option, a lot of work is involved and in some cases, the data is licenced by OCM for free; as a commercial product MRA would probably need to pay. 3: OCM as the name suggests is open and free to use - https://www.programmableweb.com/api/open-charge-map

@hans-van-de-ven-mra-master I just noticed something interesting. I copied and renamed the route where I still have problems deleting waypoints. With the copied route, deleting the waypoints works without any problems, with the original route the problem still exists.
