Welcome to the private Beta MRA Navigation Next forum!
It's hard for me to put into words how grateful I am that so many people believe and support us! We didn't always choose the easiest way, in 2013 we chose to have multiple map providers work together in one website, so that TomTom and Garmin users have a nice tool with which you can find, create, share and export routes, I can tell you that is complex and expensive. And yet we succeeded, partly because of all the feedback from you who enthusiastically started working with MRA. Just take a look at trustpilot's verified reviews!
Now we are taking a new path with MRA Navigation Next, which is exciting, because even now we are going to make something that isn't there yet. An all-in-one route app that car, motorcycle, camper and EV drivers can use. Both with finding, creating, tracking and navigating the most beautiful routes. And that as well as is possible with current technology and hardware. Not easy, I expect blood, sweat and tears, but with the website it worked and with the new app it will also work.
Broadly speaking, you can say that we are going to merge MyRoute-app mobile with MyRoute-app Navigation. You then get one all-in-one app with the most important functions of the website and premium navigation. The project is divided into 4 phases, our ambition is to deliver a properly working app by February 1, 2023 at the latest that can be at least the same in terms of functionality as our current navigation app. June 1st we want to offer the completely new app in the AppStore and Play Store, are we going to sit back? No, definitely not, there will be a new roadmap that we will design together with you!
Finally, I would like to state that we are a small company with people who are working on this project with positive energy and passion. Not everything will go perfectly, we do strive for perfection, but, where work is done, chips fall. We appreciate constructive criticism, but please keep it neat and respectful. We are also open to meet with you personally if something is unclear.
We are really looking forward to it and are going to make it something special together with you!Michel van Hagen, director MyRouteApp B.V.

@Michel-van-Hagen-MRA-Founder Heel mooi!
I have been really looking forward to this and am happy with these next steps.
Like StefanHummelink, I am very willing to contribute actively. -
Just let me know how I can contribute at the moment you think it is relevant!

Great!
Waiting for next steps -
@Michel-van-Hagen-MRA-Founder I’m so excited that Corjan and Joost will be putting there incredible skills and knowledge to good use to design a brand new Navigation app. I have every confidence that they will, under your guidance, build a world class navigation app. #TeamMRA the best

I'm looking forward to a revised navigation app. I found the MyRoute-app mobile confusing as it seemed to be a cross between the web site and navigation. I'm anxious to see the new navigator.

I despite having a subscription that runs until 2024 I believe, I decided to take the Lifetime. To be able to follow the Beta and perhaps input some ideas. I am confident that it will be a swell party and the entry price is worth every cent
To start with an idea: would it not be sensible to ask for the Beta forum to be in English. If everyone goes about in his own language, this forum will soon be a mess...

Hi @Con-Hennekens I love your enthusiasm to help develop MRA Navigation Next, bravo
I also love your idea that English should be the forums first language

May I disagree with you? However it's a global firm nowday's I certainly don't want to scare people off if they don't express themselves in English that good!
-
@Rob-Verhoeff I am slightly biased on this point

Yes you may, and usually I would agree with you. However we are talking BETA here, that's something for the techsavvy people, and I cannot imagine many of them to not being able to express themselves in English. My point is to NOT scatter all information during the BETA into different languages, like it is done in the other forum categories for market ready software.

You make a very strong and valid point

Thank you for the suggestion to keep the forum’s main language in English. As most posts are in English it hasn’t been an issue so far. In some areas we do want to accept multilanguage responses since our average audience member only speaks their home language. We’d rather have the feedback in A foreign language than not at all.
I’ll discuss this with Michel if it does become an issue.

@Timo-Martosatiman-MRA Are you going to ban people from the test who are not very proficient in English writing? There will undoubtedly be strong testers among the Dutch. Then you are excluded in advance. Or you must immediately indicate that English is the official language when registering. As testers in the past (Apple Carplay), I didn't mind the multilingual response. I can still remember that they even responded in German...
-
@Rob-Verhoeff, my point was NOT to ban people from anything. again, we are talking about BETATESTING software, and I am well aware that most participants are probably Dutch. I am just concerned that having responses in many different languages is a drag at the development speed. And also again, I cannot believe there are many BETATESTERS that have a problem writing in English. Customers can make use of the regular forums targeted at their language.
If I am mistaken in my assumptions, please leave all as it is. But I think giving responses in many languages is a hold-up.

@Michel-van-Hagen-MRA-Founder Great. I am waiting to see and try it.
