@Con-Hennekens I know it isn't the usual usecase. However the app is and I hope remains an app which can be used by cyclists, car and bus drivers. I would think that most of them will struggle with the standard route navigation behaviour on the highway and shaping points slightly of the highway. If I decide to ignore an instruction to leave the highway I already have decided to skip the point. The need to interact or having to ignore several instructions thereafter is too much of a pain. Luckily the navigate as track solved this problem.

These maps are not available offline, only the one you use while navigating
Long story short, it's a major technical constraint and we are working on an update that overhauls the entire start screen ensuring that is also available offline
My default view is the whole of Europe.
Given a choice, I'd rather trust MRA with my position than Google. MRA aren't passing on my personal information, Google is.
Maybe MRA could store the last view used, or allow the user to set the default centre point for new maps.

Curvy routes are calculated externally. HERE cannot do this, do we do this ourselves. That's why we need internet

De ruis kan ik beamen maar hindert mij niet. Ik vind de stem die ik gekozen heb (mannelijke stem) juist veel minder artificieel dan die vervelende scherpe monotone vrouwenstem van Google.
Dat scherpe van de Google stem wordt erger naarmate het volume hoger wordt. Ik rij juist met een hoog volume.
Bij een Cardo headset betekent dit altijd maximaal, wat soms nog te zacht is. Bij Sena op ongeveer 75%. Die gaat merkbaar luider.
@Herman-Veldhuizen, not completely true... People that plan routes use the same button on the web-planner to direct them to their last planned route. That is also about a timestamp in which a navigated route would interfere . It's on the devs's minds. We just talked about it. It will probably be incorporated in some (don't know which!) future version. You are not the only nor the first one having thoughts about this So thanks for the suggestion.
@De-Keyser, Hans van de customer support heeft in zoverre wel gelijk dat dit gaat over het rijden van een track (die al als track in de bibliotheek staat of wordt gegenereerd door de rondrit generator). Bij het rijden van een "route als track" werkt dat wel al veel beter. Garmin kampt met hetzelfde probleem (direct naar het eind als er gecalculeerd wordt) en heeft daarom de optie "herberekenen uit" als noodoplossing bedacht. Op veler verzoek heeft het dev-team een soortgelijke functie bedacht, maar het begint zich af te tekenen dat dat nog niet feilloos werkt. Het heeft de aandacht van het MRA team.
