I posted this in another Topic thread: https://forum.myrouteapp.com/post/52943 After a bit more digging, I've now found that I can export GPX 1.1 in MRA, and import into Tread and it will keep the shaping points, so long as the total number of waypoints in MRA is 50 or less. Any more than that, and it imports both the route and track as tracks.

Hell yes! Select a route and on the route info screen click the "Pencil" icon to open the route in the routeplanner for your edits! @Peter-Schiefer Hi Peter, Thank you. That makes sense. I assumed there must be a protocol for this common eventuality. I understood that MRA designers were rather proud about the compatibility of the app with both IOS Carplay and Android Auto. As it happens I did this journey in the car but will normally be doing it on the GS. Jan

@Jörgen That's very useful. I will search for ones in the UK. I have discovered that both Zap-Map and PlugShare have APIs that can be licenced to supply data to other companies. If MRA set about licencing such datasets (and not just for charging), the POI data would be always up to date.

@Wouter-Gosseling, an easier interpretation of a track would be: a breadcrumb trail of which your navigation device does not calculate the route between the breadcrumbs itself.

@Ad-V No, not if you convert the track to a route, because it is calculated on a route map and will always involve roads. With MRA Navigation Next you can follow the track line just like you can in a Garmin Zumo.

@Andrea-Sirri I would advise you to take a look at all the tutorials in MRA. And also look at the vlogs of Denise. Have fun

@Tim-Watson has been previously requested, hopefully with more requests, it will move up the list. Same with the extra large blue route/track line - it is excessively large and covers up info underneath..IMO https://forum.myrouteapp.com/post/37153

@Rob-Verhoeff said in On-Offline Navigation: If you navigate offline, you indeed won't have live traffic information. That's not possible because there is no internet connection! When navigating with the offline switch on (green), most of the time there is an active internet connection on my phone. It would be nice if MRA could still show live traffic information when there is an active internet connection, even when using the offline maps.

@Rob-Verhoeff okay Some clarification. When I mount it when steering is completely to the left and bike is on jiffy stand it is in landscape. Then I turn the steering to center and put the bike straight up to fold in the stand. My phone thinks it needs to be in portrait again every time. Very annoying!

@M-Schrijver said in Dealing with Heat: @richtea999 On Oled dark mode can save energy. That is true but with Android Auto or Apple Carplay, you do not use the screen at all and it can be switched off. But even in this situation there are a lot of people who encounters heat issues. Because of this. Keep your phone in a cool spot, like in the wind. Is the best you can do right now True statement. If I'm riding my bike in 90F+ (32C+) temperatures, while running any phone navigation app, bad things can start to happen on my iPhone. Certainly with the phone mounted and even when stored in my pocket/tankbag. First, the iPhone will stop battery charging to prevent damage. As the temps rise the phone will try other measures to combat internal temperature. Your screen might dim, and other phone features might temporarily disable. After that as a final defense, the phone will automatically shut itself down. It's the nature of phone GPS navigation apps for these bad things to potentially happen. You're running a processing/battery intensive app while the phone is likely plugged in. This can generate significant heat by itself. With high external ambient temps thrown in, the total heat can overwhelm the phone. If there is any good news, I get the impression that much of the MRA user base is in Northern Europe, which in general, does not suffer the constant summer heat levels experienced in much of the US. That's why some report problems, and others don't. For 9 months of the year, I can run Next or any other app without issue. It's dealing with the summer months that's the problem.
