@Doug-Robinson The problem indeed is that a track does not have these avoid options so when the app "returns to track" after you missed a part, it really just sends you most efficiently back to the track. If the issue where losing the original track entirely is solved correctly you wouldn't want these avoid options anyway. They now only become very apparent because you are sometimes sent to the destination directly We'll aim at fixing that!

@Corjan-Meijerink Concerning energy saving: is it possible to let the display being switched off during navigation and automatically switch it on again before an important way change is ahead (komoot can do this 150 m before a turn when using it for bike (Fahrrad) navigation)? For motorbike navigation a wake-up of the display 1 or 1.5 km prior to a turn would be appropriate. Best, Axel

We are currently working on a major update for CarPlay / Android Auto regarding the stability. These details will be taken into account too This however behavior I see with more CarPlay apps.

@Calibos, I did exactly what you did, download the whole of Europe. After multiple resumes it gets stuck exactly at the point where that happens for you too: France, Italy, UK. But I see that it still tries to continue after resuming the download like I mentioned before. Ultimately, after some manual resumes again, also these three countries get downloaded. So I think I was correct in the assumption that these 3 countries are the most prone to the problem because those are the three biggest downloads. So, I am not saying it works okay, I am just saying that it works like it did before. The best way to handle this (for now) is to set your screen time-out (standbye time) to a long time, and keep the app in focus until it is ready. Yes, the dirty way I am afraid.

@Ad-Koppenol, De combinatie die ik mis is "Wifi Uit, online" (mbv gsmdata dus, en let erop dat je wifi uit staat vóór je de app start). In mijn geval ging online navigeren prima, als hij daarna maar niet hoefde over te schakelen naar een ander netwerk. Maar het blijft ook voor mij koffiedik, want sinds 2 weken heb ik een nieuwe telefoon, en die laat hetzelfde probleem weer NIET zien... Een keer opnieuw installeren kan natuurlijk geen kwaad. Ik denk dat dat via de testflight app moet, maar ben niet bekend met de IOS procedures voor installatie. Misschien kan iemand anders even inspringen. Er lijkt dus óók een zekere toestel-afhankelijkheid in dit probleem te zitten.

@Rolf-Engelsman Helaas zoals ook is aangegeven door @Rob-Verhoeff komt dit gewoon door (danwel) incorrecte informatie vanuit de kaartleverancier. Mocht dit nou irritant zijn, kan je dergelijke meldingen uitzetten via Navigatie instellingen > functioneel

Dit heb ik afgelopen zomer ook gemeld. Weet zo het antwoord niet meer.

@Jörgen That's correct. Track navigation works without waypoints and therefore they cannot be added to your route We might look into a complex solution for this but now is not the time.
