New App - dissapointed

@Rob-Kelley cool! If that solved it, nice.
As said, we can add a notice (which is a great idea) when being offline but you enabled satellite maps

If my phone is offline, (no wifi or data) it won't calculate a simple route, if I put the app into Offline mode when the phone does have a data conenction then it can calculate the route.
If the app detects the phone is offline, it puts itself into Offline mode, it then can't calculate the route and says it needs to be Online as per my screen shots. -

If the app cannot calculate a route in offline mode when you say you have all maps there are 2 scenarios:
- user did not download (correct / all) maps
- an internal issue with the offline maps
-
Have just tried in offline mode with all Internet turned off and it works flawlessly for me

I run almost every ride with off line maps! I downloaded the new version, undated my off line maps and planned my test route which I take everyday. Had no problems at all.

@Rob-Kelley hey just a thought, check that your offline maps have a checkmark beside them. In v4 I found that sometimes the downloads are interrupted and offline navigation won’t work until the downloads are completed.
See this thread. https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/10116/suggestion-prompt-to-update-downloaded-maps.?_=1762835124036

Same happened for me with all the maps freshly downloaded ...
From my point of view, internet should be used only to download new maps and display traffic information, just like other apps are doing (the ones that use offline maps)

True, and this has not changed in V5. I think you have hit the culprit with this. People sometimes are so convinced they have their maps offline, but forget to check it
To be honest, the method of downloading maps could benefit from some TLC. -
It looks like when you enable offline navigation in the settjngs, route calculation is working. (phone in airplane mode).
When I switch to online navigation no route calculated possible.
Message something went wrong. -

In the next update I've added a warning when you go offline and you are using satellite maps to inform you they cannot load properly
