@John2241 If you are planning from the app via the Route lab, once you have finished, tap the back button to go to your library, then tap it again to go to the menu page and then tap Last route to navigate the route that you have just created. Bonne continuation, Patrick
  • How do I upload gpx file using the app on ios?

@Nick-Carthew yeah, but to be able to upload it I first need to save it to my device. I would prefer to send the gpx file to the app e.g. from WhatsApp and on the map that is opened with the route save it to my library directly. Your proposal is not different to what I initially wrote, or?

@harmpert you don't have to reload the route and skip waypoints. Two methods Long press the compass and the full route is displayed. Zoom in to where you are and long press on the next waypoint you want to travel to. The navigation will begin again towards the selected waypoint. Use the menu to display waypoints. Long press on the waypoint you want to travel towards. Tap the screen to close the menu. If required tap the compass to centre you screen again.

It's related to it being a 'Route-track' rather than a route. If you convert it to a 'Route' (90 waypoints are auto-placed) then it opens in about 2-3 seconds. I do not know the differences there - just saying. Obvously, you'll have to check very closely whether the 90-point Route is a good enough approximation to the original route-track for your needs.

@Richard-18, I am sorry, but I have to come back at my earlier reply... It seemed like I did left out France last time I downloaded offline maps Now I repeated the test, and it looks like it works just fine, like @Rob-Verhoeff experiences also... Are you sure you did not leave out any regions that are needed (maybe for just a small part!)

@Rob-Verhoeff Hi Rob. Good question - I should have mentioned this - ta. It actually makes no difference even if I zoom in to say Douglas (where I know there are 8 fuel stations)., right in to the street level - the map layer of the app doesn't seem to have any fuel stations in the town at all. The list that accompanies the search also only has the 2 entries, none of which are in Douglas. Strange that the MRA online planner has all of the fuel stations on it's overlay map Cheers, Jem

  • Android Auto - power consumption - hot phone

@Rob-Smith said in Android Auto - power consumption - hot phone: a phone that gets physically hot while navigating is not going to be ideal for the device. No, it is certainly not ideal! But keep in mind by far not all phones suffer from that problem. most people when talking about power consumption seem to be basically saying - make sure your phone is plugged into a reasonably meaty charger - that way all is well. That is not how I intended any of the many comments I made But truth is that many people use far from ideal charging equipment, but do not realize that. I think at least a significant part of the users that see their phone's charge not keeping up with the battery use can be helped by better charger and better cable, that sustain the charging capabilities of modern phones. That is however by no means an excuse for the high power consumption of the app (or better said: the HERE rendering engine).

@Michael-Kruse, This is most likely no MRA setting, but due to the absence of speedcamera information in Germany, since that is not allowed
