What do I mean by that? Well, in the previous nav app we had to use this function all the time when we were at i.e. a lunch stop and so we killed our navigation for each their own reasons. What is different now then? That is the built-in RESUME option. After you have manually stopped the navigation, a big button appears on the bottom of your homescreen which allows you to resume the navigation where you left-off the last time. In all those circumstances simply resuming is the method to get back at it, without having the navi find out what the "nearest waypoint" is. That's why this start at nearest waypoint is imho only "useful" when initially starting the route from scratch, or for the first time for that matter. "Useful" in the sense that changing the starting method to either start of route to nearest waypoint, is not significantly less work, than zooming out and longpressing the nearest waypoint your self. Im specifically writing this, because you don't always want to start at nearest waypoint so this setting requires change also along the way multiple times... I assume I don't need to tell why haha.

@Aiello-antonino That has been suggested at some point. No idea what has happened with that idea. For now, improving the stability of the app, adding some more functionality to AA and CP, and rebuilding the website take priority.

@Cees-3, sorry dat ik het niet begrijp, maar wie bedoel je met "Goldmember van het eerste uur"? En wat voor vreselijke dingen zijn er dan gezegd? Een forum is een discussieplatform. Je mag suggesties doen, en anderen mogen zeggen wat zij daarvan vinden. Ik lees geen dingen die niet zouden moeten kunnen in deze draad. Ik vind jouw suggestie overigens nog niet zo slecht. Net als @Stefan-Hummelink heb ik de richting nog nooit gemist, maar als je dat gewend bent in andere platformen kan ik me best voorstellen dat je dat mist.

@Rene-2a-0 Ik denk dat die er niet gaan komen. Op AA en CP heb je een groter scherm ter beschikking en dus meer ruimte voor het tonen van die info. Overigens, in een andere navigatie-app (Waze) zie ik die info ook niet. Ik denk dat dat geldt voor alle navigatie-apps. Wel op AA en CP maar niet op het scherm van je telefoon! Moet ik toch even m'n keutel intrekken Al die overbodige informatie op zo'n klein scherm terwijl de snelheidsmeter van m'n motor dat al aangeeft Ik heb in mijn menu die info uitgeschakeld (net als jij denk ik...). Hulde voor de engelbewaarder die mij daarvan op de hoogte bracht via een ander kanaal Overigens, een snelheidsaanduiding wanneer je alleen rijdt met de kaart actief - zonder route - zit nog in de pijplijn. @Nick-Carthew, True. I usually place the POI only, and add a WP manually with some information about the POI in the name and note. ON the road of course This combines beautifully with my other suggestion of the day, about "snapping" WPs to the road automatically.

@Helmut-Baumer, what @Reinhard-32 says is true, however, during planning you can add the POIs you would like to incorporate into your route to the route by clicking them, and in the windows add them.
