@Stevedo-6-0 Updated rules: https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/11534/general-forum-rules We cannot moderate this and given the community growth over the past years we feel adjusting the rules is more adequate. Nothing personal.

@Marinus-van-Deudekom said: wel John. I know you really love Garmin. Did you notice this is not a Garmin platform. You also know that what I think of Garmin is something you dont want to hear, so please keep your love for Garmin in the Garmin platform The man is looking for answers. If all you want to do is bash anything Garmin, you're doing a disservice to anyone looking for useful information. Your input was to weakly defend what's already in MRA Next, and when confronted with its inadequacy, concluded with "Whatever you like best use it". That certainly seems like an invitation to look elsewhere. I gave a balanced answer, and hopefully something useful. If that somehow offends you, please move on.

I completely agree with this request the ability to have a north up map that can be zoomed is an essential feature for safe navigation. When there is a problem, road closure, incorrect route etc. you need to be able to orient yourself with the ‘map’ and then zoom out to see where you are and decide on the best course of action. I have stopped using MRA when leading group rides as it is too difficult to recover - I use my Garmin Zumo XT. I have raised this with a support ticket with MRA but no answer was given as to when this important feature would come. Can we have a timeframe please? I am at a point where I am thinking of investigating other Navigation clients e.g. OSMAnd Maps, Scenic etc.

If you search for a aéra, you’ll see the routes displayed in the left Side of your screen, if using a computer or tablet

I propose that the end user can select the size they want. My reasoning is that some will complain that the font or the arrows etc. are too small/large whilst others will not have a problem. Why not set a default but let the end user choose for themselves?

@russell-j-morrell-0 as @brian-mcg wrote: there is no option for live tracking. But you can record by MyRoute-App Navigation you ride and upload to MRA. In the Activity feed, you can make your tracklogs public and share a link to others (your family). So they can see your journey just in the moment you finished your day and saved your record.

@LennyO said: I use the same combo... yes the maps don't look like Garmin and never will, because that depends on what "Here" gives us. The Zumo XT3 takes maps to a new level beyond what comes with the original XT. The XT3 3D terrain map is absolutely eye popping. It's really hard to use any phone app when you're used to the XT3 display. Garmin uses HERE too, but the 3D overlay maps might come from a different source. Something to look into....

@Warner-1-0 You can also create a scenicRoute in the app and then add waypoints to it..... Open the MRA app Go to Round Trip Create a loop route of your choice... You can adjust the curvature, set the distance, specify the compass directions you want the route to follow, and navigate the route in the opposite direction. After creating your desired route, you must first save the “Track.” After you’ve saved the route, go to the Route Lab. Under “Routes,” search for the track you saved earlier Open the track Go to the options in the top-right corner Select the “Edit Route-Track” option Then give it a different name so you can distinguish between the track and the route... then tap “Use” Your track will now automatically be populated with waypoints, which you can delete or move as you like.
