@Timo-Martosatiman-MRA to continue being difficult
Why is that page referring to Tyre to travel, and clicking the link the first thing you read is "tyre to travel has stopped"
-
@Gary-France Hi Gary, under "Profile" go to "Video", that's where you can get started with MRA Video!
@Drabslab Hi Drab, can you tell me which page? I can't reproduce moving to the TyreToTravel has Stopped page. Perhaps there's a wrong turn in the code somewhere
-
@Timo-Martosatiman-MRA goto: myrouteapp.com/en/products/video
scroll to the bottom, in the footer there is a link to: http://www.tyretotravel.com/ under the Tyre to travel log.
Going to that page tells you: "Tyre to travel has stopped".
I know Tyre is an important part of your history but you could do that history justice in other ways than confusing new users

This indeed works for MRA users, how can people not using MRA yet see what fine new extension you have?

Don't blame the code. The code is always perfect, it's that stupid computer that is making mistakes all the time

@Timo-Martosatiman-MRA
this link gives a 404 - page not found error

@Drabslab that thing with the unresponsive links is now fixed! Good spotting. As far the TyreToTravel-link, that's intentional. I've posted a notification about it to the dev-team and management.

@Timo-Martosatiman-MRA and in addition, that video publcity page really needs a few links so that no MRA users can immediately see what it does. it may be a good idea to embed a trailer for all 3 parts in the commercial pages
-
@Drabslab I also thought Lifetime membership included all future updates...

Agree what about lifetime Gold members.

If I'm right, then MRA Video produces only a kind of dynamic 3D views of the track log on a map ( like Google Earth) combined with a kind of slide show of existing Fotos (moments) You Made in track log.
Not sure, if own movies (or Parts of) can be combined with...I fear to try cost free Trial Period, becaus the explanation: "after end of trial period, your account will be automatically set back to basic account".
I'm Gold Member and don't want to fall back to Basic Member. -

I agree that it seems to only produce a 3D view like in Google Earth. I was expecting something like a moving pointer that built the route taken, such as happens in Relive, which is dynamic and interesting to see, especially as the terrain changes and you get an impression of what the ride must have been like. Relive is also free! It is difficult to even see in MRA Video what was the direction of travel as it is simply a line on a 3D map where you can add some photos. Sadly, I have to say, it is not as good as I had hoped for.

@Gary-France
It seems I would share your comment. Have you got a link for me for "Relive" to which you refer?
Thanks in advance. BR Paul -

@Guy-Perrin @Greenham MRA Video isn't part of the route-planning aspect and therefore not part of Gold or Gold Lifetime. However, I've seen this comment on several places and we're thinking about methods by which to reward paying members or make it easier for them to try out MRA Video.
@Gary-France Thank you for your comment. Of course I'm sad that MRA Video doesn't live up to your expectations, but that doesn't mean it's meant as a competitor to Relive. Relive is primarily aimed at cyclists and support only tracklogs. MRA Video seems alike, but does a lot of things rather differently. First of all: motorists and motorcyclists tend to make longer trips, making a video where the pointer moves along the route very erratic. We've intentionally chosen a birds-eye view as this allows for a complete overview of the route with marked highlights. The highlights for tracklogs are globally the same, although MRA Video allows for the usage of routes as well as tracks. This is very different: if you have for example a route with waypoints including information or a color, this will be highlighted on the map. The purpose is also different: Relive seems to be aimed primarily at individual cyclists, MRA Video is aimed at group-minded motorists and motorcyclists.
To stay within the frame of thought as MRA video as a Relive-competitor: they've had a first mover advantage and years in advance. They do things different, and have a different target audience. Additionally, Relive's services stop where they start, they do video's (and they do it very nicely!) and that's it. Regardless, we've heard your comments and have seen it throughout the community. Perhaps the community wants MRA Video to evolve more in the direction of what Relive does. If that's the case, as we've done for the past 8 years, we'll follow.

I'm Gold Member and don't want to fall back to Basic Member.I think you could use a team of very annoying beta users to spot last minute bugs and go through announcements before these are released.
