      Hi,
I am using MRA on my motorcycle. The app is running on my iPhone and is mirrored to a Carplay device (Carpuride W702). Sound is received on a Sena 30K.
While the volume of Spotify is okay, the volume of MRA is too low. I can not hear anything though the volume of Spotify is reduced while MRA is talking. I tried to increase volume of MRA while reducing the volume of Spotify in the iPhone, but this did not help. Voice is currently not useable in this constellation.
Are there any solutions already available or is this still a bug? I saw quite some other posts here in this forum complaining the volume issue, but MRA improves nearly weekly, so I hoped they already fixed it.
      Thanks and cheers,
      Thomas

@Thomas-Keßler I am experiencing the same with Android Auto and Spotify. I can't find a way to independently adjust the volume based on application. This is how it works for Google maps on Android Auto. If I increase the volume during voice guidance it only increases the Google maps volume and leaves Spotify alone. Frustrating.

Same problem here with Android Auto, not just MRA and Spotify but with all media.
This has been raised several times on this forum for a long time and a ticket has also been created, but to date without any results.

I HAD the same issue. I downloaded Acapella TTS engine for Android. Selected a voice that i like and paid for it. Volume in MRA is now nearly on par with i.e Spotfity

@M-Schrijver Interesting. It seems this is not available for iOS. Anyway I think, it should not be necessary to apply 3rd party tools to hear and understand the voice of MRA. It should run out of the box.

MRA choose to use the default TTS engine of your phone. That is not a wrong choice. It make things easier. I don't know how it is for iPhone but in case of my Pixel, the default TTS engine has a low volume by default.
Waze is also based on the default TTS engine and Waze has also a lower volume compared to i.e Spotify.

@Thomas-Keßler Try a new voice from your iPhone.
Go to your iPhone Settings > Accessibility > Spoken content > Voices.

@Thomas-Keßler What I do know is that you must not use the Siri voices. Just choose a different (enhanced)voice.
In my car the MRA voice is as loud as the media from my car entertainment system.

                          Totally agree!
It does not make sense to have to pay to solve an MRA problem.

It is not an MRA problem. It is an OS problem.
The default TTS voice on my Pixel 6 Pro has a low volume. So MRA has a low volume. But from what i understand the default TTS on a Samsung phone is louder. So MRA is also louder.

I also have the volume being too low. Phone volume at max and also the Headset at max volume. No Siri voice. Noise remains very low.
In the past with the old app this was fine.

The old app was indeed better.
                                TomTom Go is better
                                Waze is better.

They all use(d) their own voice engine.
MRA could change this for the current app but i doubt if they would. I think (but totally not sure) they won't because a separate engine like the old app had, will not work with some functions of the current app. Like reading text which you can type in the info box.
                                Maybe @Corjan-Meijerink could clarify this.

The new app is much better then the old app and all the others, only the volume on some phones is low. But I’m sure it will be fixed

To add my experience to this debate:
I use an iPhone 11 with iOS 17.4.1
I have downloaded the Serena (Premium) system voice from Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content > Voices > English.
And I use a Cardo Scala PackTalk Bold with the latest firmware as my headset with the correct priority setting for audio source.

If I am riding on my own with no one connected to the intercom I hear navigation instructions loud and clear, not at top volume of the Cardo.
As soon as I am connected to another riders intercom the navigation instruction are barely audible, I hear the first part of the first word of the instruction and then the voice fades away.

I experience exactly the same behaviour when I am connected to my TomTom Rider 500 or Google maps on my phone.

So for me, I don't see a problem with the phone voice or with MRA Navigation Next.
The problem is caused by the Cardo headset.

No problems with the intercom, and the Sena SRL 2 connected to my phone and the XT2 or XT.
Only the instructions of Next are to low, and that was much better before.

Yes, that may be the case with your setup, I was pointing out that not all issues with the volume are related to MRA Navigation Next. The volume for turn by turn instructions a notes is very loud when I don’t have an intercom connection.
My devices and settings are different to yours and so we have a different experience. As far as I am concerned, the app volume is fine except when I am connected to another intercom. The same happens with my TomTom or Google Maps, turn by turn instructions cannot be heard when the intercom is connected but perfectly clear when not.

You don’t have to be Sherlock 🕵️ Holmes to work out that in my case the Cardo is at fault.

Does your Cardo also use a meshnetwork connection, or do you connect to another Cardo user via Bluetooth?
