Hi all. Why doesn't my stopping time show when navigating?

Inserting a pause is for planning purposes only, it’s to offer you a closer estimation of the overall timing of your planned route.

Timing in the app when navigating is dynamic, the ETA’s adjust as your journey progresses.

@Nick-Carthew in the gpx1.2 export to the XT(1, I don't know how the 2 and 3 react on this), the pause is calculated in the "traveltime". When you reach your pause location, the timecounter start from the moment you leave. That is one of the reasons I stick to the XT, because I find one of the most interesting features.

Met andere apps maak je een route, met MRA componeer je een route!

@Travellexxie That’s interesting, thank you. The original question was regarding the MRA Navigation app which is why I gave my answer.

@Nick-Carthew Hi Nick. Thanks for the explanation.

I think the ETA while navigating should include the inserted pause while planning, otherwise what's the point of adding it.

I've had it before where a hotel called asking for my eta as it was getting late and I couldn't just glance down while riding and give the time. I had to remember what stops I had left, how long each stop would be and add that to the current eta.

            Hope that makes sense.

            Cheers 🍻

In my experience, the breaks I schedule are merely a guide. I can never say exactly in advance how long it will take, for example, to get a drink or a meal. For planning purposes, it’s useful to be able to make an estimate, which gives you a rough finishing time.
But once you’re on the road, it becomes tricky, and you’d have to stick strictly to the times you’ve entered.
When I’m driving, I just try to keep an eye on the estimated finish time. That tells me how much time I’ve got left for a pause.
But perhaps it would be a good idea, if possible, to add an extra button for an ETA that includes pauses

I think most people know what their average speed while riding is. Mostly it is around 50-60 km/h (closer to 50). Time to take a break can differ a lot.
When i ride alone i add max 1 hour to calculated riding time.
When i ride with a few other people (4-5 persons) i calculate with 30 km/h (including breaks).

(I use MRA Next only on Android Auto. Every comment, suggestion, etc will be based on my usage with Android Auto)

@JP-d I appreciate how you would like the Pause time included but I sit on the other side of the fence & definitely don't want it included
so I think @white.mouse suggestion to have an option would be the way to keep all happy

for me the ETA is one of the most important pieces of information when leading a group
I don't expect the ETA to be anywhere near 100% accurate, but as long as I can see the ETA is not growing (getting later) by a huge amount then I can judge when I will arrive
If it is growing by a large amount then I know I need to change the plan & take a more direct route

for me having the pauses included as @travellexxie says the Garmins do, causes all sorts of panic in members of the groups I lead, as they often see late ETA's which I know from experience we will easily arrive earlier
You cannot trust an ETA it is only an "estimate"
