    Hey all,

Most of the routes I plan start or end at my home address; looking at my routes this becomes quite clear as many are round trips. Even for multi-days trips I normally have a "master" route that will start and end at my place.

This one of the (or probably the main) reasons why I don't share my routes.

It would be nice if I could obscure/pixelate/shade a radius of a couple of km around my home address.

Just as an example, my home address would be somewhere cover under the gray circle:

Ideally also the waypoints on the left-hand side are hidden (otherwise they would reveal the address).

Finally, if another user uses my route, the waypoints covered under the gray circle should be removed (otherwise they would reveal the address).

    Does it make sense?

    Thanks!

@Nico-Perino Too complicated. Just start and end your routes 1 kilometre from your address. Your navigation device will guide you to the start and I guess you know where you live to return the final kilometre without guidance.

@Nico-Perino ...some users have reported strange behaviour with the sat-nav – in particular, routes that take you back to the starting point.
It is therefore advisable not to set the starting point of a planned route right outside your front door (or hotel door) – but some distance along the planned route.

MyRoute Navigation Next will guide you to the starting point anyway, provided the settings are correct. This way, you won’t ‘reveal’ your home address – and, more importantly, you’ll give your sat-nav or app enough time, after switching it on and starting ride, to locate the necessary number of satellites for route calculation. This helps prevent a situation where your sat-nav or app fails to realise, as you started riding, that you’ve already passed the starting point.

        Nothing is impossible ;-)

I always want to start a ride with food in my belly and fuel in my tank. That’s why I begin my routes at a nearby gas station, and the finish is just a kilometer from my home.
The strength of a good app also lies in the number of shared routes. That is why it would be a shame if your great routes weren't shared.

It would be a great addition however. I ride with a group, I often start at home and when started it is not "help full" to stop the group 1 km from home. I also use STRAVA for biking (MTB and RACE) and in STRAVA this is implemented.
Other option is to add a TRACK editor, so it is possible to manually remove points and also remove wrong turns (it happens) were only 200m need to be remove to have a nice track.
This is indeed a reason that I do not share.

Just use the nearest gas station as a starting point when you want to share your routes.
