Hi, I'm trying the latest version of the app, and I've a couple of issues with the search results.
First of all, is there a way to sort them by distance? I want to look for the closest supermarket, but the search results are totally random, so I basically have to search the search results to find what I need...
But the strangest part is that if I click on the map, all I get is a popup with the supermarket address, but it doesn't get selected. What's the purpose of this behavior? Why should it be useful?

The search function produces a list of results that are in order of closest first. Closest as the crow flies. They are shown on the map as icons so that you can see which ones they are in relation to the names in the list. Click a name in the list to navigate to it.

@Nick-Carthew Hi Nick, as you can see in the picture, they are not ordered by distance. The closest (7,1 km) is the 5th result.
And for the map yes, I see the name etc, but if clicking doesn't select it as my destination, that's pretty useless imho.

@Nick-Carthew Hi Nick, nice to see your results are sorted, but mine are not. Anyway I did not tap the supermarket icon, I searched using the search menu (the lens icon on the top right corner) and wrote the name of the supermarket, and the results are not sorted.
The results are not sorted whatever I search.

Just wondering whether @cvlmtg is searching within the MRA Route Planner within the app as I also have a problem with search results presentation. Whereas @Nick-Carthew , you are searching within navigation session and I would like that same view within the planner.

@cvlmtg , I confirm your point.
The same thing happens to me, on a Samsung S21 Android phone.
The results are NOT sorted by distance.
Instead, as far as selecting an icon on the map (for example the one that seems closest), and navigating to it, just hold down the icon for a few seconds

@Dave-J-0 We are both searching within the navigation app, the difference is; @cvlmtg is typing a query into the search box whereas I am selecting a supermarket from the pre-defined search icons.

Whenever a tap does not do what I expect, I try a long press. No matter what app
Longpressing anywhere on the map always triggers a route to it, so this is no exception to that.
tap = info / longpress = action. You will find that in many places in the app.
