@Nick-Carthew said in Waypoint: @Steve-Lynch We within MRA refer to via points and shaping points colloquially as route points and not waypoints. But I'm being a little pedantic really Are you sure? Maybe someone should tell MRA about that... [image: 1658910162415-screenshot-2022-07-27-at-10.22.17.png]

@Patje-BBC-223 Gebruik het zoommenu zoals hieronder weergegeven. Bij mij schakelt hij op 150% over naar de mobiele stijl (Hamburger Menu). Verlaag het percentage totdat u de menu's ziet. Use the zoom menu as shown below. For me it switches to the Mobile style (Hamburger Menu) at 150 %. Reduce the Percentage until you see the menus. [image: 1658771936680-zoom-menu.png]

@Nick-Carthew Hi Nick. Yes, of course. I'm planning a trip to Nord Cape and I like to put POIs around the route like gas stations, càmpings, parquings, etc. In such a long trip I don't know exactly where I'll need refill my tank, sleep, buy food, etc. So, I add the POIs around my way

@Paul-Slater-0 There are hundreds of phone holders that will do the job. I use the XGrip and Ram Mount Clamp below. Like you I have a Garmin (XT) but I also like to run a phone as well when on tours as I do have a MRA Navigation subscription. I find it useful as a back up and also for the waypoint colours. For my Samsung S10 I have a full front and rear cover for when it rains. I hope you find a suitable solution and have a fantastic trip in France. [image: 1658679408592-ram-mount-and-xgrip.png]

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation of the difference. But I have little confusion in the below post: https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/458/on-the-hike-with-myroute-app-mobile-app/[1](https://apnpgc.org/netboom-mod-apk/) Hopefully, someone will help me in this regard.

@Skizzo I believe the speed cameras are built into the Here map for MRA Navigation therefore they work in Offline mode. There are 5242 in the UK whereas there are 4734 in America, So if you are visiting the UK make sure you have the speed cameras active on whatever device you use. In the UK they also use mobile Camera Vans that will not show up on the Here Maps. Here Maps Safety Camera data is not available for Germany, Liechtenstein, Switzerland because of legal restrictions. Source data below which includes Speed Camera Numbers for most Countries. https://developer.here.com/documentation/android-premium/dev_guide/topics/safety-camera-coverage.html

@Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master The way you describe it is the way I do it. Fits! The question about the rules or algorithm I have created as a ticket. The answer from support: the automatic skipping of one route point works well, the skipping of several route points must be done manually. This is also how I experienced it in practice. We are also waiting for "Next". Peter

@Herman-Guns-0 MRA and Routeyou are two different programs. It is inevitable that you will get differences and you will have to edit a route in MRA. This is best done if you also open the original track in the map with the route. [image: 1657224961513-schermafbeelding-2022-07-07-om-22.13.40.png]

@Steve-Dean said in Problem with "Expand" function and Garmin Sat Navs: @Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master Yep, got that - but you totally missed my point, i.e. "Can anything be done, other than laboriously going over the whole route to check no shaping points are positioned in this way?" Also bit of a mystery as to why the Tom Tom ignores this issue. Hi @Steve-Dean. It really isn’t laborious if you go about it like this: Click on the first route point, fully zoom in using the magnifying glass and adjust if necessary, then use the right arrow > to move to the next route point (still fully zoomed) and adjust. A route with 100 route points can be checked and adjusted in just 2 minutes.

Lee, do you mean the navigation app? If so, then you have to keep in mind that tha navigation app can only handle routes made for the Here maps. If you use an other map, Openstreet or Tom Tom, than it tries to project that route in the Here map. But if there is a difference in the maps, the navigation app makes the best of it. But most of the time its not what you want. If you make a special bike route, for sure you can not use the navigation app, because on the Here maps are no bike paths available. So the app send you to the moon and further. Best regards, Baltus

@Ch-Philippe said in Plus d'evitements: Bonjour, Depuis la mise a jour le logiciel ne prend plus en comte certain évitement comme les autoroute par exemple, quelque soit la carte utilisé. Hello, Since the update, the software no longer takes into account certain avoidances such as highways for example, regardless of the card used If you switch cards you will have to set the "Avoid" preferences again. Did you do that too?
