Little issues, night mode in tunnel, recalculation
-
Hi,
during my last tour from about, 3680km I had only little issues.
One, was in Switzerland when driving through a tunnel, the display switch to night mode, (nice feature) but on some tunnels it takes a very long time to switch back when the tunnel ended.
Here the tunnel ended a long time before, but the display is still in night mode.

Is this a matter of the HERE map data?
The other was, for some reason the App started recalculation and ist not coming back in normal mode.
A restart was needed. What could be the reason?

@Jörgen
Tunnel:- I only drive with day mode, also goes well in the tunnel.
- The time between day and night mode switching can also be on the mobile phone.
Recalculation:
- Navigate offline, and the recalculation off then I don't have that
- Recalculation without a network apparently leads to such problems described by you
- Maybe the map to the route section was not offline on your phone, even if the map is missing there is the problem
Tunnel:

Hi @Jörgen - I don't know about difference between iPhone and Android.
But I'm using Android and my screen settings in MyRoute-App are not "night", not "day", but "phone".
In device settings, I use automated brightness.
By this, display will not change to dark mode if you drive in tunnel, but will only reduce brightness. That's verry ok for me. -
My App-Theme is also set to phone (Android). And I have this switch from day mode to night mode in tunnels.
And it is fine, it works perfect in Germany, but not in Switzerland.
As I said, may be and map data error. -

I don´t have an option for tunnels, it just works without anything from my site.

Jörgen, last weekend I was crossing Switzerland from Basel to Geneve and I got the same problem with my iPhone but consider in combination with CarPlay in my Cabrio. Not switching back to daylight mode. Long time to find back to the road at the end. As I remember, at one or two case I need a restart. But as mentioned in a car, the Display of the Audiosystem switched also in night modus when your running lights gets on. So at that time I was not clear by myself why it doesn‘ t switch back. No reading your issue I must confirm this.

Do you think this problem IS only in Switzerland?
-
I've seen this sometimes.
- The Location stays stuck in the tunnel. But this is visible on your screen.
- I'm not sure if it a map error. I'm not familiar enough with Here map. But on Google and TomTom maps the road get a slighty darker color where the tunnel is. On this part the GPS will switch to Night mode. Maybe this is wrong on the Here map at some tunnels.
- MRA gets stuck in Night mode while re-gaining the GPS fix when leaving the tunnel.
-
No offense, but I recommend the fixed tag mode simply set, because it works very well in the tunnel, it does not dazzle and also maintains a good view, and does not disturb at all.
Too many bells and whistles confuses some things

So let's go. In Switzerland there are many tunnels with many mountain massifs over them, so many systems reach their limits.
Every tunnel also leads back to the light
