Suggestion: Offline Map Summary
-
I'm sure it'd be a fairly straight forward upgrade, but I think it'd be really useful to have a front page when you enter "offline maps" that shows a list of the Offline Maps you have currently installed.
I've lost count of the times I've become frustrated having to search through all of the Individual European countries to remind myself what I do or don't have installed, a simple front page list would resolve this.
It's not urgent, but I do think a real "nice to have" improvement.
Do others agree?

@Frappawotsit
I understand your request but I know which offline maps I have installed so I wouldn’t necessarily need another page. -
@Nick-Carthew I understand that, but many people don't use it all the time, and maybe only use it for specific trips and tours, and in these cases, it's easy to go a little while (eg over winter) without using it much, if at all. Then coming back to it as weather improves and not remembering exactly what was downloaded for offline use the previous year.
Maybe an option to toggle the page on or off in settings would suit both parties, those that would benefit from it, and those that wouldn't?

So I download the whole of Europe and that obviously makes it easier with a phone with 128GB storage.
Which countries are your favorites?

@Frappawotsit hmmm I try to understand, but honestly, I don't see a risk. If you had downloaded a map for a country and you don't use it any longer - there will be no problem. It only occupies place for data.
If you did not update the map - there will be no issue as long as you don't navigate with this outdated map. Just if want to navigate with an outdated map, an error will popup, the system can't calculate the route. The reason is the outdated map.
Usually, I drive always in the same country. It's not a pitty to keep it up to date. For a holiday journey I prepare everything (also maps) in front of. Afterwards I delete this map because I don't need it any longer.
To update a map needs the same time, as download it newly.
