@Drabslab I wonder what you think should have happened here. I also wonder why waypoint 3 and 4 are in the route (2 I sort of get if you want to drive along the Avenue de Champagne, but 3 and 4 just seem useless).

I think the combination of:

  • a road closure at a crucial point of the route (right after the only bridge in the vicinity and a rail crossing), with virtually no alternate routes available to start with
  • lots of 1-way roads and due to that no alternatives to point 2, 3 and 4 that avoid both the closed road AND avoid going back and forth over the same road
  • having to skip 3 waypoints to get to 5, which the system may be "reluctant" to do because it's 3 points, not just 1 and you are still very close to those points (I don't know what the algorithm for auto skipping takes into account, but I can imagine distance to the point(s) to skip is part of it)
made this into a "perfect storm" of non-navigableness (is that a word?), that I don't think is very easy to solve.

I can't really think of how I would solve this myself using a paper map. Other than just not having all those waypoints and going straight to 5 (which looks like the main focus of the route (shouldn't it have been a viapoint?).
