Android test access
-
Hi all!
There were numerous reports of Android testers not being able to download the Beta version. I've spent some time investigating the issue and am happy to announce that I think the issue is resolved for most
Some people entered invalid Google (Play Store) emails in the registration form. It might be that this applies to you as individual. So if the problem still occurs, do reach out to our support department (as noted in the guidelines).
However: most people did enter a correct email. So why did it not work? I personally was convinced that uploading a new list of testers to my Android dashboard would add these testers. However....it did not. It replaced all. So when updating all testers on Tuesday (after a massive batch of new registrations) it replaced all those I entered on Monday
When managing the testers for Apple (TestFlight) it does add the testers to the total list instead of replacing. Also, Android did not provide a clear feedback to me as user to indicate that testers would be replaced. I was therefore completely clueless that this happened.
Please do accept my humble apologies towards you as Android tester. Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope you all can download the Beta soon!
Important: The previous statements and comments in the instructions that it can still take a while for Android to process you, is correct. So after signing up on Android (https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.cloudmax.myrouteapp) as mentioned in the instructions, it can still take a while. Clicking the above link will only work if you received the instructions to do so (For now this means it applies to all people that filled out the form before past Tuesday around noon).
Also a small reminder: if you just signed up in the registration form, it can take up until 2 weeks before we process new registrations. You will be informed by email when we did so.
I do make mistakes and am proud of it

We are all human, and fortunately we are allowed to make mistakes. Although I also know those who don't make one, but they don't do anything either....

@Corjan-Meijerink It is reassuring to know that you are actually a human - With the amount of work that you have been doing lately, I was convinced that you were a machine.

Hi guys. Any progress on the solution?
-
@b0hd1 I can see the Android / Google email you entered has been added to the verified testers. This means you should get access to the Beta (3.2.4 - 143).
If not, please contact the support https://www.myrouteapp.com/support and share the email you are using on Android and a screenshot of what you see in the Play Store.

@Corjan-Meijerink incredible! It works now.
Thank you very much for your patience. -
@b0hd1 Magnificent! Have a great weekend

I am still not getting access to Android 3.2.4.
I have created a Support Ticket as you suggested. -
@Steve-Lynch sugerencia: tienes varios cuentas registradas en tu smartphone? Puede ser ese el problema. Mira que el acceso a la beta sea con la cuenta adecuada.
Saludos. -
@b0hd1 said in Android test access:
suggestion: do you have multiple accounts registered on your smartphone? That may be the problem. See that access to the beta is with the appropriate account.
Greetings. No, for Android I have just 1 account.
I know that my email is correct as I have all the emails that tell me I am a tester.
Maybe I just need to be more patient.
I guess I must be one of those that were replaced maybe. -
@Steve-Lynch Happy to hear you submitted a support ticket.
I can see you submitted the registration form for iOS and Android. Just came here to say that the email you entered is not valid for Android. Won't disclose further information on a public form.
We will help you through the official (private) support channel.
