Android Auto - Any update as this is getting embarrassing!

Re: Android Auto
As Android Update is being installed in more head units and more bikes the lack of support is getting slightly frustrating. Can you share any positive news rather than the usual holding pattern reply?

@Mr-Mark-Melbourne Android Auto is one of my top priorities for early next year. We have currently started the process to rebuild the entire Navigation app as we did with Mobile so we can develop with the same pace on this app as we can now with Mobile.

@Corjan-Meijerink can you actually explain why two mobile apps are needed? One called mobile and another one for navigation?
I would hope for a single app that would also allow navigating on a windows device.

Whilst this is nothing to do with Android Auto as such, I would say that MyRoute-App Mobile is worth its weight in Gold and its free.
For me on a personal note and for anyone that likes to do proper Off-Road (Motorbike or Vehicle) driving then this is possible with MyRoute-App Mobile by creating Route-Tracks.
This is the perfect back up to my Garmin XT.
Itβs the same principle on both, no turn by turn navigation just a Route-Track to visibly follow. This is particularly useful in the UK as I can avoid accidentally going on Footpaths or Bridleways that motorised vehicles are not allowed to drive on.
Also there are lots of idiosyncrasies when using my iPad Pro with the Routelab that are not an issue on MyRoute-App Mobile (iOS or Android).

@Steve-Lynch i am not questioning the functionality and value of mobile. I would prefer that these ate expanded towards navigation instead of needing an additional app for navigation. I just wonder why seems to be making a new nav app instead of integrating it in the new mobile spp, or sre they?
