Animation

Am I doing something wrong?
During the animation the map is spinning, jerking, acting up. Call me dizzy...
@LennyO Yes, that’s correct. I tried a test route in my hometown. On a route with lots of bends, the animation is indeed a bit “restless.” But on a somewhat longer route through mountainous terrain, the animation is absolutely awesome!
Because of the tilt of the map, you now also get a 3D view. An amazing feature!
Maybe Corjan could add a setting to play the animation a little slower. At the moment, you start at 1 and can speed it up to 2 and 4. Perhaps we could also go in the other direction with -1 and -2...

The rotation should be a bit slower. For example, when travelling south, it should only rotate when there is a significant change in direction. Otherwise, the map should remain stationary.

I've added a north up mode

@Corjan-Meijerink If you select the “North up” option, you still get a message during the animation telling you that you can use the right mouse button (or your fingers on a tablet) to adjust the tilt and rotation of the screen. However, this obviously does nothing when “North up” is selected.

Looks much better.

For me the first button does not change anything.

@Jörgen It probably does, turns off waypoint highlights in the animation.

I noticed that the animation dot does not move with even speed... not sure if it is my comp or the server or what... Also we lost the choice of zoom.
On a long route x4 is not enough in my opinion... what does x4 equal to in the current version? Looks like "Fast", no? -
Correct, but scaling is based on route distance.
So it's not the same per route / tracklog. -

What about the uneven speed? -
Focus on what "seems" to be nice

@Corjan-Meijerink Sorry... not sure what you mean by that.... Not to pay attention to the uneven speed? I just want to understand the root cause, is it "me" or "you" or the link in between....
