The rotation should be a bit slower. For example, when travelling south, it should only rotate when there is a significant change in direction. Otherwise, the map should remain stationary.

@Corjan-Meijerink If you select the “North up” option, you still get a message during the animation telling you that you can use the right mouse button (or your fingers on a tablet) to adjust the tilt and rotation of the screen. However, this obviously does nothing when “North up” is selected.

For me the first button does not change anything.

I noticed that the animation dot does not move with even speed... not sure if it is my comp or the server or what... Also we lost the choice of zoom.
On a long route x4 is not enough in my opinion... what does x4 equal to in the current version? Looks like "Fast", no?

Correct, but scaling is based on route distance.
So it's not the same per route / tracklog.
