Hello MRA Team,

I feel cheated as a user of "MRA Routenplaner Gold" in Lifetime as a user. I don't understand the announcements either, why I once paid for Lifetime to find out that "MRA Route Planner Gold" is now probably at the end of the development and the "New Name = MEA Route Planner Next" of the update to Web 2.0 or even before was now asked for money what I want to avoid with the Lifetime Account "MRA Route Planner Gold".

The "MRA Route Planner Next" is an update for me and included in the MRA Route Planner Gold Lifetime license, so it was also with the "MRA Navigation" on MRA Navigation Next" in Lifetime.

I ask for clarification of the content on the web site and the procedure with regard to the purchased lifetime licenses ..

ich fühle mich als User von „MRA Routenplaner Gold“ in Lifetime als User getäuscht. Ich verstehe die Ankündigungen so auch nicht, warum habe ich mal für Lifetime bezahlt um jetzt zu erfahren das „MRA Routenplaner Gold“ jetzt wohl am Ende der Entwicklung ist und der „Neue Name = MRA Routenplaner Next“ des Update auf Web 2.0 oder wies auch immer schon mal angekündigt war jetzt nach Geld verlangt was ich mit dem Lifetime Konto „MRA Routenplaner Gold“ vermeiden will.

Der „MRA Routenplaner Next“ ist für mich ein Update und in der MRA Routenplaner Gold Lifetime Lizenz enthalten, so war es auch bei der „MRA Navigation“ auf MRA Navigation Next“ im Lifetime.

Ich bitte um Klarstellung der Inhalte auf der Web Seite und der Vorgehensweise mit Blick auf die gekauften Lifetime Lizenzen ..

If I understand things correctly, when I bought Gold Lifetime for MRA Routeplanner a few years ago, what I was actually purchasing was lifetime point-in-time functionality as it exactly existed then. I'm not sure it was presented as such, but I'll go with buying the new functionality if it makes sense. A company needs on-going revenue to remain viable, and serious enhancements require money.

I would still like to know what the AI piece is going to cost beyond the $50 for Next. I doubt it's going to break the bank, but I think it's fair to ask what the price for the entire package will be. Or at least understand if AI can be purchased without also buying Routeplanner Next.

Oh yes definitely! That’s possible.
Just another subscription when the new website (MRA Routeplanner Next) becomes available.
And as said, that becomes available to all Regardless of your subscription and if you purchase something now.

Hi Hubert, I've had time to sleep on this and look at it again this morning. You have captured exactly how I feel about these latest announcements. I paid for Planner and Navigation Lifetime licenses in November 2025. Seems a very short lifetime to now be asking for more money. MRA will argue that I don't have to pay anything but then I don't get new features that are implied by a lifetime license.

Also, I find it unacceptable for MRA to ask existing customers to pay to test Beta software, really!!!!

As others have expressed, I think this whole thing has been communicated extremely poorly as evidenced by the number of questions and declarations of confusion.

To me, this feels like a company that was too successful in selling lifetime licenses. As a result, recurring and new customer revenues are not sufficient, hence the current efforts to extract more money from existing lifetime license holders. All IMHO.

@Hubert-Thoring Hubert just look at the explanation on the site and all of the FAQ's you'll find all the answers there. You dont have to buy anything and you'll have what you've paid for. With the upgrade to the beta planner you'll have have some extra's.

@Marinus-van-Deudekom Agree. People need to read the explanations! I took advantage of the Beta Navigation Next Lifetime early purchase and that has worked really well. I will do the same for the new Planner which is a cheap price for some of the new features whilst keeping my current planner features on a new platform; moreover, I get a chance to test and have a say on future builds. Most developers, and not just MRA, are charging a premium for integrated AI features so I did not expect that new feature to be included - AI platform providers are charging for services like these.

MRA, I feel, is being very fair for early access to a new set of features without undermining existing lifetime Gold customers who will still move to the new platform with the features they currently have.

• Private forum group where you help decide what we build

• A good night sleep as you support a hard working small company
• Badge on your profile

That’s it

You loose nothing. Do not worry.
This is a fun announcement that a lot of awesome new stuff is coming.

Not paying anything? That’s fine!
You keep the features you have, no extra’s and have to wait to February to use it.

Which are those new subscribtions in detail for a MRA Routeplanner Gold Lifetime / Navigation Next Lifetime member? In other words, as a MRA Routeplanner Gold Lifetime member / Navigation Next Lifetime do I get which new subscriptions/functions when buying the €49 offer?
The commercial clubs, AI Routeplanner is even with the €49 package not included, so what is the difference in funcionality then between buying and not buying the €49 package? Just early access, private forum, badge and donating???

Unfortunately, I cannot login with my regular inlog and password. Do I have to register again?

Well, this table is a mess, just like the whole product presentation. The entire offer must have been generated by AI, because even after an all-day explanation, a lot of people still don't understand it.

Why doesn't the table simply compare the plans—Free, Silver, Gold, new NEXT, AI—with a clear breakdown of what's included in each membership underneath, like other providers of similar products do? That would make it clear. And ideally, each feature could include a link explaining what value it actually brings.

As this all sinks in, your point above is what bothers me most. It was the new features "implication" that was implied by the MRA lifetime license. There was never a disclaimer that "lifetime" meant only functionality offered at the time of purchase. It's similar to the one‑time "lifetime" license purchase of Microsoft Office Products, except that they state upfront that no new feature updates will be provided. I like that up-front disclosure.

The current MRA Routeplanner is a fantastic product. It's the best desktop route planner on the market. I'll continue to use it even if I choose not to purchase new features. Still.....

Except Microsoft tends to deprecates older versions you once paid lifetime for almost every day without free upgrade to the new version. Exactly what MRA does NOT do...

The current MRA Routeplanner is a fantastic product. It's the best desktop route planner on the market. I'll continue to use it even if I choose not to purchase new features.

You do not need to stick to the current planner, your license is as as valid for the new planner as it is for the old one.
