For my personal understanding - as a Lifetime user for MRA and Navigation Next it’s not necessary to pay again if someone is not interested in the Beta Version. They will have access to the new version once it is released, but with no new features? So, currently the additional payment is only to get access to the Beta version and test some new features?

So if I understand correctly, $55 for existing GOLD members to upgrade to lifetime access for all the new Routeplanner features, except the AI Routeplanner. For me, this is a good deal for early upgrade.

When will the AI piece be available for pricing/consideration?

Okay, thanks @corjan-meijerink for your fast feedback. This means 49€ for my Beta Access. What about the second box mentioned 199€? Is this for new users without Gold lifetime?

Excuse the ignorance. I’m still a little confused.

I currently have gold and navigation next.

When this goes live will I have access to the new features, excluding AI/commercial club?

Or do I NEED to pay the extra money to access the new features?

I already have a gold lifetime, Route planner and Navigation license but I am guessing that the three items above will not be included on the current life time licenses?

I wished you would make very clear in easy words what MRA Routeplanner Gold Lifetime member (and other plans) do get in future and what they will miss. And what "upgrade" path's/prices will be there, within beta phase and once released.
It is very confusing to be honest and by now it is like you have to read between the lines and have to make guesses.
I suggest to put up a table with a comparison and place it at the FAQ section to the beta page.

So, I have Lifetime Gold for the planner. My understanding is that the planner is being completely re-written on an updated platform. This re-write will bring new functionality including AI planning. My existing license will give me access to the new planner and features EXCEPT the AI planner. Is that correct?

I have read your message and the new beta website three times, but I still don’t understand it. Judging by the comments, it seems that many other people don’t understand it either.

At the moment, I have the following licenses:

MRA Routeplanner Gold Lifetime Member
Navigation Next Lifetime

When you launch the new version, will I keep access to the current planner as it is now?

If I understand correctly, you will continue to operate the old version for GOLD users, while the new version (Planner NEXT) will be available to those who pay an additional €50? Or is the €50 payment only for access to the BETA version?

Personally, I don’t need anything other than being able to plan a route, click it together, and send it to my navigation system. I don’t need sharing, clubs, AI, or any of your new features.

So my question is:

If I want to keep using the planner exactly as it works now, do I need to pay anything, or will it remain available to me at no additional cost as part of my Gold Lifetime membership?

Having Routeplanner Gold allows you to keep using all the features you currently have.

MRA Routeplanner Next will have many new features. Those are new subscriptions.
Buying pre-sale gives lifetime access to those with the exception for commercial clubs, AI Routeplanner and Navigation Next (that stays as it is).

Buying the €199 pre-sale is only relevant if you don’t have Gold lifetime now. Then you immediately get that too. The €49 is for:

• Early access
• Private forum group where you help decide what we build
• Lifetime access to the new subscriptions with the exception for commercial clubs, AI Routeplanner and Navigation Next
• A good night sleep as you support a hard working small company
• Badge on your profile

That’s it

You loose nothing. Do not worry.
This is a fun announcement that a lot of awesome new stuff is coming.

Not paying anything? That’s fine!
You keep the features you have, no extra’s and have to wait to February to use it.

OK, I understand this after sifting through the information previously posted. I'm guessing that you're not in a position now to address AI Routeplanner availability and pricing. Of course, the feature I find most intreging moving forward.

A simple statement of AI Routplanner rollout details TBD would be appreciated. Thanks.

That's a bit clearer to me for the routeplanner website (by the way i'm also lifetime MRA navigation and Myroute App) -> after release I guess we hand over to the new UI, still get the existing routing features, tomtom/here routing. And new features will be under the new subscription. This does reduce the value of a "lifetime" if we get locked out of new features after only one year (that o've paid for the lifetime), and subscription do seem a better bargain on the long run.
For the Myroute App though i'm a bit confused, there is a mention of a "Navigation Next" which on your website points to the actual MyRoute App. And no specific annoucements to that: is that actually the same app? Does that mean that a new app will arrive after that and that will follow the same strategy as the routeplanner: basically "old" lifetime users will be locked on an old app?

We (those of us with the Gold Planner lifetime) are also moving to the new planner from February, but we won’t have access to the new features unless we pay extra.
So, if you’re happy with the planner’s current functionality, you’ll basically get the same functionality with the new interface.

It would make more sense to give existing LIFETIME users trial access during the beta so we can test the new features. The current planner works fine for me and I don't feel I need anything extra, but a trial period might convince me to support your small Dutch dev team.

Unfortunately, with the current promotion and all the confusion around the new version, it feels like I'm talking to an internal IT department rather than a company trying to sell a product.

Starting from "Routeplanner Gold" what remain from the main function of the new product?
