@Sytze-van-der-Laan I guess Nick moved it because there's a dedicated section for this kind of questions

@Sytze-van-der-Laan You’re post is related to Apple CarPlay so I moved it to the correct section of this forum.

not pushing you around. Your question went along with the move.
The stability of CP and AA have had an update as of version 488 witch is finaly out on both Android and IOs.
Did you install that update -
Not being an IT person, what is version 488? I thought Carplay is not an app but a function of iOS? I run iOS v. 26.1.1
Also: I am trying to narrow down what may be a hardware issue instead of a software issue. Because all navigation apps on my iPhone run fine (incl. MRA) and CarPlay works fine with all navigation apps in my car, I am inclined to think that all the software is fine.
I was hoping to hear from other Carpuride users whether they were experiencing the same problem of constant reboots and stalling... -
Well, I think that not the Carpuride nor the MRA software is the problem. I think that the real problem is your BMW!
Have you tried connecting the Carpuride to another power-source, a powerbank for-instant? Or directly to the battery! -
yes that cannot be excluded, although the BMW is brand new. But it is the first thing I will check the coming days, powering the Carpuride with the USB-C outlet of the bike and taping it to my tank bag or something similar. See how that goes. Thanks!
-
Well, I do not trust BMW anymore since I bought me an brand new R1250RT with DAB- radio. After three year the still are not capable to make it work! And also the Navigation is still not working as it should be.
Therefore I advise you to use an external power source to test or power it directly to the battery.
Not over a power source that is controlled by the CanBus system. -
OK thanks for the heads up. It will be interesting to test both, with the USB-bus and with a power bank - since it could be the USB bus or the cradle connector. It is now an elimination process!
