Android 9: no tracklogs
-
Instead of using my expensive new smartphone, I like to use my old Android 9 smartphone which still works fine. While at home, connected to wifi, I can use my tracklogs in the app. However, when on the road (and offline) the Tracklogs screen doesn't show my tracklogs anymore but only shows an exclamation mark and the message 'No Internet'.
In Android 11 my tracklogs are available in the app, offline and online.I found out that I can download the tracklog, open it and use it but it would be nice to have my tracklogs available in the tracklog list the same way as in Android 11.

In the app (version 5.0.4-451) the list of routes is available, it is the list of tracklogs that gets empty when offline.

@Gijs-Jonker did you enable on your old Android 9, also the automated synch?
And are you sure, you are using track-logs? Not route-tracks?
I'm asking, because the synch of track-logs is only working, when online. -
Yeah, I see what you mean. But it is not the syncing that's the issue, that works fine.
When I have a track (gpx 1.1 file with trk, trkseg, trkpt xml-tags) I can upload it in MRA Routeplanner on PC as Route-track and as Tracklog.
In the MRA-app with Navigation on my smartphone I can select Routes & Tracklogs and the track can be seen under 2 tabs: Routes or Tracklogs. The track can appear in both lists depending on being uploaded as Route-track or as Tracklog.
However, when my smartphone has no internet connection anymore, the Tracklogs list gets empty on Android 9 but remains available on Android 11. This is a bug i.m.o.: instead of showing 'No internet' in the Tracklogs list, show the tracklogs. So this also gives a solution: import the track as Route-track, not as Tracklog.
