North up and zoom

I know, zooming (auto zoom) is a very long lasting discussion. And I still don't understand why in App settings, there is an option for auto zoom yes/no - but the camera view "North up" doesn't repect it!
It's really a pain, if you stay and need orientation and using "North up" - and the app zooms ongoing automatically against your command

I support having the zoom-out option to stay in north-up mode!
There is the compass (or on the remote, the C button) to change the view after checking something.

I would like to have both options as I use the zoom out for different reasons. In CarPlay, I can select the whole route for orientation but it would be handy to be able to zoom in a bit more. That said, I use the manual zoom in direction of travel a lot. I rarely use the North up fixed zoom as I want to be able to adjust this zoom level instead of going into full route view. Having four zoom options would be my preference or, I know that @Corjan-Meijerink would have a thought on this, a configuration option in settings to select which zoom views you want.

Bottom line for me is to be able to have the option to zoom in and out on North up view but not lose the other options. Could there be a toggle that retains the last selection for a North up in manual zoom view that is selectable in the view?

Count me in for this, too. I had a monthly subscription to MRA Gold and Navigation, but let it expire because I just can't navigate without being able to zoom out some to view what's around me, and I just can't make sense of a map if it's not north-up. I would buy the lifetime if "north-up with zoom" were an option. I occasionally come back to check the forums specifically looking for this one issue.

Is there no replies from the developers on this subject? Every time I zoom the map starts spinning around even if I have chosen 2D/north up/autozoom

@Joakim-Granberg, there have been multiple threads where this has been cleared. The problem lies within the HERE platform, it has already been solved by HERE, but other bugs in the updatet platform are preventing the MRA dev team to update to the new SDK version.

I completely agree with this request the ability to have a north up map that can be zoomed is an essential feature for safe navigation. When there is a problem, road closure, incorrect route etc. you need to be able to orient yourself with the ‘map’ and then zoom out to see where you are and decide on the best course of action. I have stopped using MRA when leading group rides as it is too difficult to recover - I use my Garmin Zumo XT. I have raised this with a support ticket with MRA but no answer was given as to when this important feature would come. Can we have a timeframe please? I am at a point where I am thinking of investigating other Navigation clients e.g. OSMAnd Maps, Scenic etc.
