MRA connector - Zumo XT (+SD)

Heb je de Garmin software wel op je laptop staan anders wordt je XT niet herkend.
Om het te checken ga je naar de verkenner en daar moet je 2 onderdelen zien, je XT en de sd kaart

Snap niet helemaal wat je bedoelt met Garmin software? Dat heeft toch niks te maken met het herkennen van de XT.
Ja natuurlijk zie ik zowel het intern geheugen als de sd in verkenner en de connector software is up to date.

@Marinus-van-Deudekom je slaat de plank volledig mis. Ook zonder de Garmin software is je XT te zien in verkenner. Het zijn heel simpel opslagmedia, zowel de XT als de SD kaart.
En zolang er een SD-kaart in de XT zit, kun je de MRA connecter niet gebruiken.
@guzt ik sla de connecter ook over. Op mijn SD-kaart staat mijn muziek en aangezien die hele constructie, van die SD-kaarthouder, flink gammel is ga ik ook niet dat ding er steeds uithalen en weer instoppen.

Had zo al een bruin vermoeden dat het aan de SD ging liggen.
De ontwikkelaars hebben dus nog wat werk voor de boeg om dat in orde te krijgen.

@Travellexxie Lex aangezien je volgens je handtekening nog steeds en XT gebruikt, neem ik aan dat je gelijk hebt. Vorige zomer voor een maat nog een aantal routes op zijn XT gezet via mijn laptop MET de MRA connector. Toen geen probleem en ook zijn sd kaart werd keurig herkend. Ik had/heb wel de Garmin software op mijn Windows 11 laptop staan. Misschien dat dat dan het verschil maakte. Gelukkig heb ik zelf de XT al meer dan 1,5 jaar niet meer in mijn bezit. Ik mis hem geen seconde.

@Marinus-van-Deudekom Even alle beveiliging uitgezet (7 trackers???) en opnieuw geprobeerd. Noppes.

En ja, alle Garmin software staat op mijn laptop en de XT wordt herkend in verkenner.

Ik zou ff een ticket aanmaken om te zien of zij een oplossing weten. Elke keer je sd kaart eruit halen is ook niet handig

Do you have AV software/firewall that might be interfering i.e hiding the device?? I have a Zumo XT and don't use the connector I either use "Drive" or drop the GPX files directly onto the SD card in the XT and then import the routes when I start the device.

@Mzokk I already tried that, closing all security programs, ad blockers, tracking, finger printing, etc... Same result

I did not follow the earlier comments, as I am limited to a single language. However, I think I understand the general idea. I'm on a long trip that requires loading 25 daily routes. I used the Connector and a USB cable early on the trip, with inconsistent results. I could not find an 'order of operations' that worked every time. I resorted to using the MRA app on my phone, downloading the route, and opening with the Drive app as mentioned in the previous post. It is a number of extra steps, but has worked consistently.
I know from trying to use other Windows applications to connect to a USB connected device (phone or GPS) that the file exchange is quirky and unreliable.

I stopt with exporting routes because you have to do a lot ofextra work to get it right in de receiving navigation. I now only use CarPlay and MRA and thats solved a lot of issue's and works way better. The connector always worked fine.

@Guzt I normally don't use the connector but I downloaded onto a Win11 machine today to try it again and try to help someone in this thread.

It worked fine. I can only suggest that you look again at your Windows security settings and see if there is something stopping the the connector "seeing" the ZumoXT as the connector opens or blocking data being downloaded from the website . In my case if the device was visible in file explorer it was visible to the connector. If I booted into Win11 (after using it in Linux on a dual boot machine) the connector could not "See" the ZumoXT but then neither could windows explorer until the device was unplugged from the USB port and plugged in again. In any case it is easier to put files directly into the device or SD card via explorer or to use the Garmin "Drive" app.
