Routing in City (USA) almost useless due to constant rerouting in circles
-
I dont have any video or screenshots of my issues as I was traveling in a group and unable to stop and capture this behaviour but...
I have multiple routes that I created from Tracklogs (created while traveling the routes the first time) and then edited to add waypoints and shaping points. I verified that all waypoints and shaping points are on the actual roads, not next or near to them, and yet...
Mostly in urban settings the Nav app would re-route me in circles endlessly.. it would go around blocks to then re-join the main route and do this over and over. I had rerouting calculation turned off as well. It got to the point I could not trust the routing at all in areas I was not already familiar with as I couldnt tell whether a turn was legitimate or not.
Im not sure what to do about this since when I am on the ride itself, I do not have time or the ability to stop and try and figure out whats going on, but when I check the routes I created, I do not see any of the weird going around blocks or in circles that happen during the actual navigation.
Where can I begin looking if I am no longer in the area where this was occuring, and cannot find any evidence of anything wrong with the routes in the planner app ?

@Stephan-Dornberg Sharing your actual route would help. Make sure the privacy is set to public, click the Share button, choose the Link option and copy the URL web address to paste into your reply.
Watching your route and keeping an eye on the upcoming waypoint icon in the top right of the screen can help understand what is going on. You can tap the upcoming waypoint icon to skip the waypoint that you are being sent back to. The situation that you described leads me to think that a waypoint is not being registered as being passed which is why you keep being sent back.
