Hi all!

Next week we will have a quick update to improve some minor issues caused by changes regarding the device limit. So this won't be the "big" next update (5.1) but just a very minor one.
Anyway, regardless of that update we already were able to make some adjustment to the device limit logic. The following therefore does not require an app update. The change we made is that if you are blocked because of too many device, we only block your new devices. Meaning the original 2 devices you used will still be accessible. We received some feedback of users getting accidentally blocked and where they understood our rational I believe they all made a very valid point that being blocked out on all devices is a bit excessive. Hence, we've made this change

Overall we are extremely happy with the device limit feature as motorclubs / companies using one license for literally 40 people have already been blocked. This now results in them either buying the appropriate amount of licenses or simply disliking us
This is still the preferred approach over raising prices for everyone to cover the costs of those abusing a single license. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this has caused to legitimate users who just like to use more devices.
Cheers,

that is one serious level of taking the piss so can fully understand why something had to be done

I had the same problem. Mostly on weekends away with my wife, I use three (sometimes four) devices.
Other (big tech) companies use the same principle, and I understand why MRA made this decision — especially because of the ***** who used more than 40 devices on one account. I really don’t understand that kind of behavior.
For me, it’s not about the money. I don’t mind paying for a product like MRA. I use it a lot, and especially with the NN, I use it even more than before. For me, it’s more about the user experience. I don’t want to create multiple accounts.
So I think I did the best thing you can do in this case: create a support ticket. Explain your situation, and maybe they have a solution.
And they gave me a very good solution!

2x Navigation Next om te rijden op de motor.
Daarnaast routes aanpassen via een browser FireFox, Safarie, Chrome is toch geen enkel probleem ? Op een iPad, of kleine MacBook Air, ...2x Navigation Next for riding your motorbike.
In addition, adjusting routes via a FireFox, Safari or Chrome browser is no problem at all, right? On an iPad or small MacBook Air, etc.2x Navigation Next pour rouler à moto.
You can work around a lot everybody has diverencend wishes. If i can get extra licenses and want to pay for it is a nice bussinesscase for the Next app and get more freedom the easy way. More licenses is nothing new in the bussines. But let Myrouteapp cook some nice features and we will see what the feature bring.
@Cleo it's an investment the more they can spend money for this beautiful software, the more we can take advantage for nice adventures on the motorcycle in the scenic landscapes !

@Cleo More devices in your existing account should be possible as well.
Just send an e-mail to support and ask what you want

Yes. You can purchase an additional licence to increase the device limit in your existing account. Just raise a support ticket, and Lisanne will reach out.

Hello,
I also find the decision understandable and have no problem with it in principle.
However, I have a question about it. My wife and I use the app on two ruggedized mobile phones that are always with our bikes. On our tours, I also take an iPad with me, on which I check, change, etc., the route for the next day in the evening. I have the app installed on my iPhone to check routes when I'm out without my bike and iPad.
Does the two-device limit mean that I have to log out of at least one GPS device after the tour in order to use the iPad?
Does the limit only apply if you're logged in on more than two devices simultaneously? Then I just need to make sure I'm logged out of my iPhone and iPad before I start using my two GPS devices at the beginning of the season.
Sorry for the question, but I couldn't quite figure it out from the comments. And if the English isn't perfect, I'm using Google Translate.

The nice thing about this change in the terms and conditions is that you don’t have to log out. By that, I mean you don’t have to re-enter your username and password afterward. You only need to click the red “exit” icon behind one of your other devices, and you can start using the iPad right away. And if you check your routes on the iPad via the website, you won’t notice any issues at all, since this rule only applies to using the MyRoute-app itself. Anything you do via the website or on a device like CarPlay or Android Auto doesn’t count toward the device limit.
