Since upgrade Quick Route seems locked in scenic
-
Hi I am a relatively new user (Gold) and recently attended an excellent Webex.
Since upgrading to the latest version on my IPhone I seem to be having an issue with Quick routing selecting motorways in the UK using the App.
When I go into the App.
If I am in a location away from home I select my favourite of home (I have tried Car and Motorbike routing option).
This seems to default to Scenic as a routing option. I have no other options either in Car or Motorbike.
If I go in to select the options I notice Highway
option is off. Selecting this seems to make zero difference to routing. The app will calculate a rote fro where I am but refuses to select any motorways even if the shortest and quickest from where I am.
I have tried the route planner option and selecting where I am and adding as a first waypoint and selecting my home favourite as my next and it will use motorways perfectly but it is a bit frustrating having to always create a route rather than just select from the landing page.
Is it just me or a known issue ?

@David-Gillies I suspect you are making a mistaken assumption. When you select a favourite, you will see this image at the bottom of your screen...

It may look as though Scenic is selected because the button is highlighted in yellow; however, this is not the case. If you tap Navigate directly from this screen, the navigation will guide you to your destination via the fastest route — including motorways. If you tap Scenic, you can then choose which types of roads the navigation should avoid.
I believe it works as designed. If that is not the intended usecase, then I must have misunderstood your question.
