Minimum tablet requirements for MyRoute App
-
@Jörgen It's actually an interesting subject, how various tablets perform.
I use a Samsung Galaxy Active tablet 3. It works, but performance isn't impressing. I think this mostly depends on the device's CPU.From what I have read, even the newer Active 5 performs equally.
Likely nobody has compared GPS applications on a number of tablets.
@Makro There is a new Oukitel RT3 Pro available (I think below 200€) with a newer Android version, I have no Idea if it is better in performance. Mine is Ok for now and it works fine. I sometimes use two apps in split screen mode and ha´ve no problem.

@Jörgen I have just bought RT3 pro, how to get split screen, could you advice me?

@Stanisław Hi, swipe your finger slowly upwards from the bottom, stop halfway and tap on the three dots to the right of the app you have just opened and select split screen. Then select the other app to be displayed.

For those using Samsung like me, if anyone should be interested, then split screen can be enabled using finger draw.
https://www.samsung.com/ph/support/mobile-devices/how-to-use-swipe-gestures-with-multi-window/But also in another way: open the list of recent apps, click the app icon and select the split screen option.
This may or may not work on Oukitel

@Jörgen Thank you, it works!

Hi, I ask you a favor, could you give me the measurements of the screen and the total size? H, L, in cm? Thank you very much, I want to take it too but I have to see if it fits under the windshield.

Very kind, thank you!
On amazon they give exaggerated measurements.. I think I'll take it immediately. -

Ok.. took measurements... The Pad is too big, it doesn't fit under the windshield and in any case for a motorbike I don't find it very proportionate. I opted for a 6.6" Rugged Smartphone, definitely better and highly visible. It's also easier to find brackets. After all, on a motorbike, we go to look at the world and not at a screen.
I will definitely have fewer problems with My Route on my motorbike.

@Lee-Parker-1 iPad on motorbike? Not a good idea.
It is not made for outdoor and vibration.
I use an Oukitel RT3 nearly two years and it is still working.@Jörgen what kind of mount are you using ? Thanks !

I currently use a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 for navigation with MyRoute App.
It has 4g ram and 64g storage.
Is 4g ram enough for MRA. Mine seems quite slow. I have no other apps open while navigating and really have very few apps even loaded on the tablet.
What is the minimum requirements for proper function of MRA.
I may consider changing to an IPad. What would the minimum requirements be for a IPad?
Lee@Lee-Parker-1 Hi Lee,
I'm driving with a TFT Carpuride W702B.
It has a lot of nits, is waterproof, and can absorb vibrations.
This TFT screen has built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and works perfectly in combination with MRA. -
Here is my final configuration. Instead of the Zumo I put this cell phone, so I eliminated Android Auto that with MyRoute, on a motorcycle, was not the best. Now MRA is perfect.

@Gaetano-9 Which phone do you use now?

@Jörgen ... I took this one, "OUKITEL G1", without too many expectations but very satisfying. The resolution is not pushed and allows me to use gloves without any problems

@Gaetano-9, An Oukitel G2 could be the follow-up of my CAT, but I am really thrown off by marketeer lies like this:
It obviously has just only 4GB of RAM... It is like saying: "the battery is 12000mAh (2000 on board + 10000 in your powerbank)"
(Can't find the puking smiley) -

(Can't find the puking smiley)@Con-Hennekens ... you can find everything on the market, I searched real sites for information and in the end I chose the G1, knowing that it costs little and I can't expect too much. But reading the reviews on Amazon I noticed a certain coherence and so I acted. When it arrived I tried everything and if it didn't satisfy me I would have returned it. The advantage of Amazon is that if it doesn't satisfy you you send it back and you don't lose your money. what can I tell you... I'm satisfied with the G1 and I can finally manage MRA in the best way easily even on the motorcycle. find out about the G1 which seems better than the G2

(Can't find the puking smiley)@Con-Hennekens It would be helpfull if they were to put in the spec of the screen. HD+ Display isn't very helpfull. Sating how many nits it is makes it objective. Then you can decide wether or not it is good. For a minimun of 1000 nits or otrherwise it's of lesser use
