Map showing me off route in fields!

@Michael-Rhys when I press it, I get a pop-up allowing me to select Camera, Camera video or files. Have you disabled pop-ups in your browser?

I'm in France now with my camper and have had this problem every day I use MRA. At the start theree is no problem but then suddenly the showed position is flying over the map. The problem occurs both on my Android tablet and on my IPhone but not always at the same time. I use always use both now as a backup for eachother. Navigation instructions continue without any problems. Clicking on the compass does not help. It is very frustrating because I already missed the correct roads a number of times and with a camper it's not always easy to turn.

@Arno-0 I'm just back from France and had the same, fine going down the main roads but when you come off at a roundabout it just floats around making you guess where to go and then it gets back on the route but it's way off your real position, I just gave up and went google maps

Okay, I didn't have that problem at all, but I think I drove offline most of the time because there was hardly any network up on the Nassfeld Pass, and I probably did it that way for the rest of the time at Lake Garda and the way back because it worked better for me, and then I stopped getting messages. Offline / Online...

It might have been like that once, but it's cleared up if you press the compass briefly.

Okay, ich hatte das Problem gar nicht bin aber glaube ich die meiste Zeit Offline gefahren da oben auf dem Nassfeldpass kaum Netz war , und habe es dann wohl auch für die restliche Zeit Gardasee und Rückweg so gemacht weil es für mir besser ging, es kommen dann auch keine Meldungen mehr. Offline / Online..

Einmal wars vielleicht so, klärt sich aber wenn man einmal kurz auf dem Kompass drückt

Me too often got those blank maps regularly on multiple locations and days. Usually first I got what is seen in the video below, and if I let it struggle some time it changed into the blank map.

Restarting the the route seems too kill the frantic problem, for a while.

@Con-Hennekens Last weekend I drove online in Groningen and Friesland, at first the triangle was exactly according to the location and at one point it runs about 100 meters behind very annoying, what went well are the notifications that came reasonably on time at a turn. After restarting the problem was gone for a while. Another additional point is that the app now uses a lot of power more than it can charge, later I switched to offline and I could continue with that, slowly charges.

Hast Du das Problem schon erkannt, es scheint im Online zu entstehen. Im Offline konnte ich es nicht feststellen.

Ab Nassfeldpass dann zum Gardasee und ab da zurück bis Münster war ich wohl immer Offline unterwegs

Hoffe dein Urlaub war eine Erholsame Route

Have you already noticed the problem? It seems to occur online. I couldn't find it offline.

From Nassfeldpass to Lake Garda and from there back to Münster I was probably always offline

@Hubert-Thoring I agree, I think the issue is when you are online, but I also have offline maps downloaded. So it should be able to revert to those when a signal is lost.

Ist das ein Carplay Gerät, wo du es aufgenommen hast bei meinem Handy im Offline kenne ich sowas nicht.

Probiere mal das ganze bei Offline lieber Con, Du weißt doch dabei sparste dann auch noch Akku

Is that a Carplay device where you recorded it? I don't know of any such thing on my phone when it's offline.

Try it offline dear Con, you know you'll save battery that way

@Con-Hennekens : oh das Problem liegt dann wohl ehr bei der verwendeten Hardware. Mein iOS Handy iPhone Xr läuft ohne Probleme

@Hubert-Thoring, I don't have most of the problems that are posted in this forum. I don't start by blaming their hardware. Fact is that on the same hardware this problem was not there before. Besides this, I have never seen any behaviour like this in gMaps, which I use regularly too. So my guess still is a software problem.

@Con-Hennekens I wish I could post screen shots. I think I am getting closer to identifying the issue. The problem seems to be related to the mode. If the mode is always north or the zoomed out mode things seem fine. If the mode is the one that auto zooms in then it is a disaster. I have screen shits from the 3 different modes will upload them when I return home I am still on my tour. But after 2300miles I have to say that the auto zoom mode works less than 30pct of the time. You really need to resolve this before pushing the beta to production.

@Corjan-Meijerink I have been unable to add screen shots here. However I was able to create a support request referring to this thread. On that request I was able to upload screenshots I hope they help. The issue is happening a lot.
