Sharing routes

Hi, can i create a route in the iOS app, then share it with a friend to follow in a copy of MRA Navigation for free? Put another way, if I have a paid version of MRA and my friend doesn't, can he still follow the route I sent him? Any limitations?

@Fifield-Nick If your friend doesn’t have an MRA Navigation subscription then they won’t be able to navigate your route.

follow the route
Well, technically exactly this is possible without a navigation subscription. This is the so-called "follow the line" method where you open the route as-is in the app and you simply drive the route on sight by looking at the route. Be aware that this means the driver gets NO instructions how to navigate the route, therefore this method is NOT equivalent to the Navigation module inside the app. Be also aware that if you yourself have planned the route in the HERE map, your mate's route, although copied from yours, may be a bit different due to the fact that as the route is shown in the app just before navigating it or while using it as "follow the line", it is shown in the OSM map. So unless you make sure your HERE route is identical to the OSM route, some differences may occur.
In short: the follow the line method works, but sure has it's niggles.If your mate wants to get turn-by-turn navigation he shall definitely get the navigation subscription.
Edit: please be aware of the app titles / names you're referencing to. MRA Navigation as is, was the previous nav app that has been discontinued in July 2023. The current navi app is called MRA Navigation Next, or simply referred to as "Navigation module inside the MRA app" or something similar.

@Stefan-Hummelink thanks for the info. Very restrictive then.
I guess the GPX can be shared or downloaded, then used in another app like scenic or garmin. -
@Fifield-Nick Yes you can
