Sent the wrong way after Peage
-
I went very wrong the other day during a ride. I went through this Peage first and I pulled to the side of the road to wait for my mate. I pulled in where indicated by the arrow. From here we should have taken the left hand lane onto the A5 to travel east as per the route line. However, because I pulled over, MRA thought I had already started riding down the right hand lane and it directed us down the A5 west and back up the other side as indicated by the red lines. This cost us 50km's and a Peage charge we didn't need. Lesson learned - Drop another way point just down the road required that can be seen on the screen. Or is there another way to prevent this happening?

@Stephen-Rowland I think the issue was that (possibly because you pulled over to the right side of the road) MRA probably thought you were already in the lane/on the exit where you could only go onto the péage to the west (right for you, left on the image). But you probably would have been able to cross over to the "middle/left" lane and go straight on/east.
So the main thing that would have helped you is knowing which direction the route was supposed to take you and not rely blindly on the navigation.

@Stephen-Rowland In situations like this I do what you have already recognised and place a route point that is visible. A learning process that unfortunately cost you a little time on this occasion.

@Stephen-Rowland, what also helps in these cases is to have the original route line enabled. If so, and Navigation decides to recalculate a deviation, the original route is still visible as a white routeline and you can follow that. MRA will recalculate back to the original route.

@Herko-ter-Horst your last sentence is of course entirely correct

@Con-Hennekens thanks for clarifying that
