Observations of progress?
-
- Charging can't keep up with apps battery usage. Very bad
- Navigation can be unpredictable at times. I don't even know how to describe. Sends you down dead end streets. Dreaded double route lines
- Very slow updating map. I have to study to count streets before turn. Dangerous!
- Needs to zoom in on complicated road branches. Between slow map update and no zoom, well, useless in New Jersey!
- What is the significance of "check if map was made with Here"
6.skip waypoints is either semi functional or just confusing. If a waypoint is manually deleted it still shows
on the map.
Navigation app is still better.

@Fred-Gilbert
1.The battery consumption is known, it is now with Here to come up with a solution.
2.Navigation works perfectly, depends on how you make your route. You must use the Here map when planning your route!
3. I don't have that experience
4. I don't have that experience, I don't live in New Jersey either...
5. When you create a route in the TomTom or OSM map, you get this message. This is because there are differences between these maps, and you may be sent into a closed road due to the map difference. Navigation uses the Here map!
6. No problem, I don't have to skip any route points yet, could that be due to the route I made?
7. Then you should continue to use the Navigation app while you still can. Please note that the app is still being developed

@Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master Totally agree with your response. Any update or indication from Here on the battery consumption issue?
-
@Fred-Gilbert, I totally agree with @Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master except for:
- Skipping a waypoint is by no means the same as deleting it. Often if you skip a waypoint you discover that the fastest route to the next waypoint is through the waypoint you skipped.
- You will lose Navigation "previous" very soon, because HERE is pulling the plug on the platform it was built on. It's better to adapt to the New "Next" version, or move on to something you think is better. Not many people agree with you that the old app is still better (but it was not bad either).
