@LUIS-5 said in Route to Stelvio: Ascension Day 2023. Hi when is exactly ascension day for you? 18.5.2023? If yes Stelvio might still be closed (needs to be checked regulary) If you mean 15.8 by all means try to avoid it, it will be ABSOLUTELY FULL. Best time for Stelvio is mid wekk in mid June. Then it starts - meetings, oldtimers, bycicle races, marathons....some weekends are undrivable (at least from joy point of view) Been there 8 times, learned the lesson on first rides. The worst was oldtimer tractor meet....average speed 5km/h and to wide to pass....

The app you show won’t receive any future updates. The Beta is available for those who purchased Navigation Lifetime. Check https://mranavigationnext.app/ for info.

Thanks Timo, I've done much of what you recommend already. I've also researched some of the guided tour routes borrowing some of their destinations and routes. When I put a route together, Ill share here and of course update after I get back safely. Regards, Jim

@Hubert-Thoring Ja, bald wird es nur noch eine App geben, mit der man Routen erstellen und navigieren kann. Sowohl im Auto, auf dem Motorrad, im Wohnmobil, auf dem Fahrrad und zu Fuß.

@Nick-Carthew When I go to this website and choose Routes I'll find a public directory, when I follow the path I endup to the desired file(route). When I klik on the file I' m asked to login to MRA which doesn't work. Thanks to your (Hans & Nick) hints I rightklik on the file and open in a new screen the file opens. Thanks for your help. @Skellum Yes, the Here map shows a break in the route at Waypoint 40 and 41. Tom Tom and OSM however allows the route through. This is not a route I have driven myself I just found a GPX on the the web to demonstrate Uploading for @Martin Proudlove. Definately a route I will be doing at some point however.

@Mark-4p You should be able to bypass any traffic/roadworks related planning issues by selecting 'Disable Seasonal Closures' in the toolkit. [image: 1665344632401-3a6c8b40-f363-4548-8901-6d87aba7ade6-image.png]

@Rik-Grimbergen If the country flag is blank, try moving the first route point a little, this normally solves the problem.

@sudolea That was day 2. Unfortunately, I already added a bunch more waypoints to day 4 when we got to our destination.

@Stanisław said in Downloads: what downloaded maps are useful without routes well, first for point to point navigation without using an internet connection. Then, I never prepare routes for when I am travelling for work, mostly using airplanes. It is still very handy when arriving in a city where i have never been to have a map and be able to find hotel, meeting building... or to check on the route the taxi driver is taking. In London, from St Pancras station to my meeting room or back, a trip without the driver seeing that I was following the road on a phone was costing around 15 pounds, with phone only around 9 pounds. That is 12 pounds difference a day. Multiply that with a monthly visit and my lifetime MRA Nav subscription is paid back within a year.

@PETER-PEARCE Hello Peter, I have been using MyRoute-app for several years (since 2017) for my Harley Streetglide Special. No problems! Always use the download for the BoomBox. In my case the "Pre" version. I put it on a Stick and into the Box. Works great. Things you need to watch: Rogue waypoints. Sometimes I get Waypoints off the correct track. You should always review your planed route to be sure that all waypoints are on the road and not next to it. Occasionaly for some reaseon, Sat dirft or Map variance, I get a Point off the track and am instructed to turn. Most of the time I see this coming during the ride and I zoom out to see that you turn and come back. Just delete the waypoint. This happens on my wifes TomTom as well. I just got back from Scotland on a 3800 km Trip. All planned with the App. Only once did this appear. Also the lane advice in the BoomBox was super helpful for me driving on the left!! You can look at my public routes to see some of them. Try it ou and have fun!

@Drabslab said in Suggestion/Request - Exit without saving: And clicking the save button incorporates the changes in the original route. Nonsense. In doing so, you cannot go back to the original version. That will go wrong with many users!

@Nick-2f A little advice for you to save you any possible problems. When you have finished planning your route, open route point 1 and use the magnifying glass to fully zoom into your route point and adjust it so that the bottom tip is on the route line. Then use the right arrow button > to go to the next route point. Do this for all route points to check their positioning and accuracy. Some of the route points in the route that you shared are off of the line, This in itself may not cause problems but it can if the route points are too close to roundabouts, viaducts or junctions. The picture shows RP2, when you allow for little inaccuracies in satellite signals when the road was mapped and when you are using the route, your GPS device may think that RP2 is on the smaller road. This could cause one of those annoying messages asking you to Turn around when possible. [image: 1662395279318-89fd6f24-a00e-435d-88e9-633e06ea9b61.jpeg]

Wat ik vaak doe is een nieuwe groep aanmaken en de personen uitnodigen voor deze groep waar je routes mee wilt delen. Dit kan 1 persoon zijn of meerdere. Bijvoorbeeld: familie groep, vriendengroep of iets dergelijks. Het voordeel van groepen is dat je ook een groep in z'n geheel kunt uitnodigen voor bijvoorbeeld een evenement.
