Ok, I have some more information from today. This behaviour happens when for some reason you lose connection between the CarPlay device and the phone. Let me explain: At some point my phone ran out of battery. I stopped, turned off the bike and therefore disconnected the CarPlay device. Put the phone under my seat where I have a charger. The phone never switched off, the CarPlay device did. When I started the bike, and therefore disconnected the CarPlay device, the device reconnected to the phone and recalculated the route from my current position. This is what happens: The route gets recalculated correctly. The Next Turn widget get updated once. The stats widget in the bottom left also updates once. After that moment, both widgets don’t get updated anymore, the (main) route screen however, continues to work correctly. This issue got reproduced at the next stop where I had to take gas. CarPlay device switched off and later on again, phone reconnects, the two left widgets get updated once and never again. I hope this helps finding the issue.

Die keuze kan je inderdaad niet in CarPlay selecteren. Wel wordt je keuze onthouden Beste om hierover wel even een support ticket aan te maken met je logs. Die laatste krijg je door het versienummer onderaan de profiel pagina (waar alle instellingen staan) lang in te drukken. Screenshots zouden bij dit soort problemen ook zeker helpen!

@Dikke-Wim Ik zal het maandag even aan Corné vragen Maar inderdaad, maak even een support ticket aan. Geef daarin aan wat het mailadres is van je Android telefoon (waarschijnlijk een gmail dus) en dan kan ik je aan de Android test groep toevoegen.

@Corjan-Meijerink Vandaag nog eens in de auto geprobeerd en op het scherm zag ik nu de positie van de auto maar ik had een testroute gemaakt met met de bedoeling om enkel routepunten niet te volgen terwijl 'Routepunten automatisch overslaan' aanstaat maar het systeem bleef mij naar het overgeslagen routepunt sturen. Ik heb de navigatie dan maar afgezet. Op de bestemming aangekomen heb ik de route omgedraaid en 'Routepunten automatisch overslaan' eens af en aan gezet en onderweg werkte dat maar ik heb de ganse tijd een zwart scherm met daarop aanwijzingen gehad. Auto (BMW iX1) af en aan gezet en ook de app dicht gedaan en terug geopend maar het zwarte scherm bleef. Dan eens naar WAZE gegaan en daar had ik een perfecte positie en een normaal scherm, zelfs in mijn garage had ik een correcte positie. Volgens mij is het systeem voor gebruik in Andrew Auto nog te premature en mist het nog redelijk wat aan ontwikkeling. Jammer want het is een knappe tool en het werk goed op mijn Samsung smartphone maar op het scherm van zowel mijn auto als motor is het een bron van ergernis. Dat het foutloos kan bewijst WAZE. Ik heb er al uren mee rondgereden en het heeft nog nooit gehaperd. Jammer want ik wil graag upgraden naar een betalend abonnement (nu proefabonnement) maar op deze manier werkt het niet en moet ik nog wat wachten tot in de toekomst een performantere versie uitkomt. Heel jammer.

@Corjan-Meijerink oh I see, just a thought, but could you not show the next waypoint and distance instead - that would be more helpful

I have noticed the same issue on my Android Auto—Nissan T33 2024 model. I came back eventually.

@Ron-Z You can sync individual routes but I don’t think your entire library will use that much space.

@peha, yes, Friends with ONLY a Navigation Next subscription can navigate your routes without problems. As a bonus they get the HERE map in their free planner account. So they still can plan routes using only the basic tools which are available in the free planner subscription.

@Jon-Hye-Knudsen if you set it to automatic on the phone, you don’t ever need to change it again Check the map style settings on your phone

I was simply hoping for the next fuel station to be displayed on Android Auto / Car Play the same as it already does on the phone. As I said, I know that you can look on POI's but this gives ALL fuel stations nearby, some of which may be behind you. Other than that it's a case of taking the phone out of wherever you place it whils't riding and adding it that way.

I’m using MRA with a MTC-10 on Apple CarPlay and I noticed that compared to OsmAnd which I used before, MRA drains the phones at least twice as fast. All works fine, I just need to keep the phone on the charger while using it with MRA.
