@John-S-Parry, no sweat. Me too learned that lots of people do not share my view, due to my view being limited to my own use case and methods. Nowadays I often ask explicitly to other people's methods, and discover that a lot of suggestions are actually very worthwhile if you look from their perspective. One never stops learning 😉

@Stanley-2 I too am a long term garmin user since my 2004 Streetpilot 2610!! I regularly use a Zumo 340 390 on my 22 year old r1150gs and an XT with my Africa twin. The XT drove me nuts for a while but starting the route on the unit then saving current route cures most of its foibles 😄 I like the Route planner and had a succesful trip to northern Spain last year using it on an ipad and transfering routes to the XT using Garmin Drive. Saved me carrying a laptop to use Basecamp (which I like). The MRA nav app is getting better (the latest iteration does not seem to cook your phone) But for AA OSMand is a bit further along at the moment (in my view) that said using it is a bit of a learing curve and the route planning aspect of it is fiddly. For point to point navigation google maps is great and by pressing the AA mic button you can navigate by voice through a bluetooth headset.

Thanks guys and please ignore previous post. I updated the IOS on the old phone then updated myrouteapp as suggested and now I am on the most up to date myrouteapp version on my old phone. Thanks for your help here.

@Sjoerd-de-Vries Helaas komt dit gedrag nog wel voor ja... Maar, de ontwikkelaars zitten er bovenop. Wel vervelend dat nu het seizoen weer begint dit gedrag soms nog de kop op steekt.

I have been warning about this on many posts about the "trick".
It will most definitely be added, ETA unknown.

@Arno-g I know that Android is a bit more rigid when it comes to granting various permissions before you can use the app. Are you sure you've granted permission for everything, such as sharing your location? Especially considering the fact that the app works on your iPhone.

@Aiello-antonino, well nothing of the sort was happening in that video at the time you indicated. Anyway, I have not seen anything of the sort on my phone. I understand that on your phone it also works in the end. So I think we can consider it a one time glitch and move on.

Gisteren een rit van 325 km gedaan en scherm helderheid op 20%gezet toen zakte de batterij spanning 3% daarna telefoon in stand by mode gezet. Daarna bleef de spanning stabiel.
Nu rij ik met een Honda 1100 met standaard Car play.
Tijdens het rijden is hij 1x de verbinding kwijt geraakt en kon ik hem via het scherm weer verbinden.
Ik vermoed dat het CarPlay van de Honda niet altijd stabiel is. Op forums wordt hier ook over geklaagd.

@Aiello-antonino There is a way to do it from the mobile app. You need to download the file to your phone and then upload it to your route library by the method I explained above.

@Makro Sadly, unlike the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store does not list the languages supported by the app, so yeah, maybe MRA could add that list to the description of the app themselves, or show the list in some other place.

According to the Apple App Store entry for MyRoute-app, this is the list of languages supported by the app: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish.
