@Jacquet-2, to add to myself : It is possible to pick a monthly subscription, which gives you plenty of time to try all possibilities and leave if you don't like it (which I cannot imagine ). I think it is also still possible to pick the 14 days trial (but I am not sure).

It's probably helpful to give a hint as to your location, as it's spring over here in Europe, not autumn, so you must be in the southern hemisphere, but routes in (let's say) South-Africa will probably not be of much use to you if you're in Australia, for example.

@marc-van-der-heijden, In principe wel. Maar je kunt natuurlijk ook zelf de optie "Offline navigatie" aanzetten onder instellingen - functioneel. Die je dat niet, dan zal de app je voorstellen m dat alsnog te doen op het moment dat dat nodig is (hercalculatie van de route). In die stand werkt de routeselectie wèl nog normaal via je data. Als je je meteen ook de optie "Gebruikte routes en tracks automatisch opslaan voor offline gebruik" aanzet, hoef je je eigenlijk nooit zorgen te maken. Als je ECHT geen data hebt (flightmode bijvoorbeeld) kun je je routes alleen starten vanuit de downloads map in het profiel-menu.

Ik denk wel dat Carplay and Android Auto gebruikers moeten beseffen dat beide methodes nooit de volledige toolset van de app zullen krijgen. Het zijn nou eenmaal afzonderlijke platformen, elk met hun eigen beperkingen.

@Michael-Wilkinson, If you want to share favorites, it's probably best to implement them as POI instead of favorites. I never understood why favorites are any different from a personal POI category. Maybe a thought for the devs, for the planner overhaul

@M-Schrijver, Garmin gebruikt basis HERE kaarten, maar niet op hetzelfde platform en bovendien met zeer veel eigen aanvullingen die ze van elders halen. De ene HERE kaart is helaas de andere NIET
