@Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master said in Garmin Drive App on iOS crashes on opening (New update from yesterday):
No problem on my iPhone7s (4.15.02)
The link below is a recording of what what actually happens on the iPAD Pro when I import the Beta GPX to the Drive App.
I have re-installed the Garmin Drive App and gone through all the set up including syncing my data to the Garmin XT
You will see me open the Drive App 3 times then you will see me import a route using the Beta GPX file.
You will see that as soon as I “open In” the Garmin Drive App it immediately crashes.
You will also see that after this that trying to open Garmin Drive App immediately crashes every time.
Also after recording this screenshot and posting this I shut down the iPad and rebooted it.
The Garmin Drive App continues to crash after rebooting the iPad.
Yeah, it kind of ricocheted off of my helmet, so it was not frontal, lucky me. The group I lead later said that they saw me make a strange sideways move, but they never noticed the pigeon. So they did not really believe me. But at the time I was kind of shaky, but not not stirred
I just re-rendered a Video that I created a couple of months ago and it looks exactly the same to me, definitely not worse in my case.
I may be wrong but I think that you will only get the full data set in the video if the Track is recorded with MRA Navigation or the MRA App (I cant remember which I used to record this a few months ago.)
I do think there are some changes required however.
The moments are probably the most important bit and they are rendered way to small and disappear far to quickly in my opinion.
How has the Samsung Galaxy Active 2 been working out? I have a Garmin 595 but would like to have a larger screen and some other functionality that the Garmin cannot provide so I am considering switching to a rugged tablet.
I have been reading the reviews on Amazon and there seem to be two camps, those that absolutely love it, and those that say it's nothing more than a tablet in a waterproof case and has horrible waterproofing.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Yep, we have to be patient and relax
My father in law (93 years old and in good shape) thinks that we are strongly exagerating the magnitued of the crisis.
Yes, he is scared, at his age that bug will kill him if it catches him, and he knows that and is extremily careful. But then, no bombs, no guns, no excecutions, no raids at night, no V-1, no V-2, no downed pilots to hide, no ambushes, no food shortage ...
Everything is relative of course but if we get through this by folowing a few simple rules and instructions then we are lucky
