Struggling with volume control
-
I've read through the posts from others with volume issues (ie MRA too soft relative to music playing) but I'm still confused.
-
On the iPhone version of MRA I've tried adjusting Settings > Audio > Volume level. But it keeps springing back to its previous level -- if it's 50% and I wind it up to 100%, it says to tap the volume button; I do that and it goes back to 50% again. I've tried doing this during an announcement but the same thing happens.
-
Another issue is that when there is no music playing (ie it has been paused for a while) there are no navigation messages. I suspect this might be a quirk of the bluetooth player (I'm driving a Morgan Plus Four with a Sennheiser system that just has a volume control and amp, nothing else). Is there a way to make MRA "wake up" the audio system when it has an announcement to make?
Thanks for any advice on these two issues.

@Anonymouse I had a similiar issue with volume springing back to a lower level
my setup is a blackview bv6100 rugged smartphone for navigation with Cardo Bold headset for audiowhat was happening was my mobile phone, a oneplus 8, was also connecting to the Cardo headset & because the oneplus had a "safe" audio limit of 50% it would constantly pull the volume back to 50% even though I was telling the Cardo & Blackview to increase to 100%
My point is if your audio is getting pulled back to 50%, some setting must be doing it

@Brian-McG on my helmet using a headset I can change these using the supplied app. In the car, adjusting the volume adjusts directions and music together. But trying to change volume of next app on phone keeps springing it back, but only when connected to car. If I disconnect, the app works as it should. The issue is that next app forces car to treat Bluetooth source as music. Google and other nav apps on the phone send their instructions as voice. So that’s a bug and an irritation to me as I can’t connect my phone and accept incoming calls at the same time (unlike in other apps)
