Hello,
i'm a newcomer here, from Brest, the far western city of France? I uses MRA on my Ducati Desert X for trips with my mates in France and Europe. Next trip is Spain and the Bardenas for off-road. I know how to use MRA but i have still a couple of questions regarding ergonomics that i will ask to the masters of this software. Best regards to all.

@Nick-Carthew Welcome, have a nice trip to Spain.
@Rob-Verhoeff
Tks Rob. Spain by small roads (we hate highways), small stages (250 km) but mainly off-road (7 hours). I'm sure i will bite the dust sometimes but that's part of the game.
Ride safe

GillesHi @Gilles-collignon, welcome to this forum. Nice to have some one from France here - with a wonderful bike! I know it well, because I drove the predecessor Multistrada 950 and travelled in 2023 also through the Bardenas in Spain. But there is another exciting area you should not miss: the Gorafe Dessert. Less Tourists, less limitations, wonderful gravel roads.
If you are interested about my dessert experience, you can read my travel stories in my blog here at MyRouteApp - see the story about: Spain/Morocco 2023.
Also if you need help with MRA-Routeplanner or MyRoute-App you may contact me.
Kind regards

Tks a lot with your story. Unfortunately we are not going south. We are a group of 20 bikes and it's sometimes hard to make everybody happy. There are a lot of BMW GSA riders but you know them, offroad is a fantasm. This bike is fantastic but it needs a lot of skills to ride on mud tracks. By the way, my DX is equipped with standard Scorpion rally tyres but i'm looking for Dunlop Trailmax raid. Did you ever use them on your multistrada ? (i've tried a V4S but this bike has too much power for me) Which tyres did you have for your trip ? Congrats again for your stories. Ride safe. Gilles -

Gilles@Gilles-collignon ...you are right, most GS drivers fear offroad
And you are also right, the Multi V4 is to powerful, to heavy. And the engine isn't right for offroad. But onroad she is the absolute and ultimate queen!At my Multi 950, I used mostly Michelin Anakee Wild and was happy with (5000 Km).
But now, I changed to KTM 890 Adventure. With this, I'm totally satisfied for offroad, because of low centre of gravity, 21 inch front wheel and good engine for offroad riding.
Now I'm using Bridgestone Battlax X41 tires, and I'm also happy with.Pirelli Scorpion Rally only looks like a nobby tire, and isn't good offroad in wet condition. But it's verry good on roads - it's the reference there!
If you are without the 20 followers on GS at any time, try to discover southern part of Spain. You will love it. Because Bardenas is flat, speed limited, visitors limited, and it's not allowed to leave the dedicated roads!
May there are similar Areas in France?
Have fun, take care. -
