Here map not visible in app

@RobdH, What you are seeing BEFORE you start a navigation is an online OSM map. You can choose multiple overlays. The real HERE map is only visible after starting a guided navigation.
@Con-Hennekens When i open the app in navigation mode i only see the gps position marker, rest of screen is blanc ( except for the icons for map etc)
if i choose one of the other layers, they are all visible in the screen when starting the app both in standard as well in 3D option.
Only the Here in standard option is not visible when starting, after i have choosen a route and start the navigation the Here map is visible.
No difference in light or dark mode. -

Here Maps only worked in 3 D Mode!
We did not start a route, therefore I can not say whether Here Maps is working then. -

@Con-Hennekens Hello Con, here is the screenshot of the i phone of my friend when trying to display the Here Maps.
When choosing the option 3D the Here Maps will be displayed!
Any idea what that could be?

Can you make a screenshot and paste it here?
Map-styles in Navigation Next mode are selected through the Navigation Settings menu, not by an icon on your map. Therefore I think you are not in navigation mode. -

The screenshot shows the OSM map in pre-navigation mode. This is NOT the here map you see when you are using turn-by-turn navigation with instructions. The map is obviously not loading somehow. We have seen multiple similar occasions where this was caused by VPN or privacy blockers. Might that be the culprit for your friend? -

Any Idea?@Peter-Zehentreiter, no wifi? Also no cell-data? The OSM map is only available offline. For it to load you need a live internet connection. Also for the overlays to load you need a live internet connection. The fact that a 3d map actually IS visible, could be due to some caching of it from when there actually was a live internet connection.

It's weird because if i want to ride and not use a route i should be able to see a road i am on at that moment.
All other maps choosen are working, with or without navigation started.
Not been able to upload screen recording here but i did upload on the dutch GS forum site. -

@Con-Hennekens Sorry, I seem to have misunderstood that.
Of course, there's an internet connection via the provider's SIM card."No WiFi" means, that no company or third-party WiFi is used for the connection.

From my point of view, the main map that should be used are the Here offline maps already downloaded on the phone, not this layouts that require internet to be displayed.

Yes, I can reproduce this. I was thrown off by calling it the HERE map. It is just a visual overlay on the OSM map. But since no navigation is done in that part of the app, the difference is close to nothing

Regarding navigation, I agree with you; there are no restrictions. I'm still surprised, though, because it works on all my devices.

This might be solved in the 4.3.9 update.
We've updated the engine used to render these maps. However, as I could not reproduce the issue, I cannot guarantee itEdit: will be solved in the 4.3.9 update
