Silverfox B8J not working fully
-
Hello all, after installation of the controller and first test I have following issue: Panning is not working. Zoom in and out works. I selected the controller in the settings but no fun with panning. All other apps are working (DMD2, Osmand,...). Button app is also installed.
What to do?

@Thomas-Neumeyer Hi Thomas, I have a similar issue with the C1 controller, but I figured out that panning will work, as soon as I disable the Button App.
Would you please be so kind and give it a try.
In my case, either Google Maps will works with Button App enabled, but the My Route does not allow me to move the Maps, but zooming ist possible.
When I disable the Button app, MY Route works both panning and zooming with, but then Google Maps is not compatible any more with the controller.

@Peter-Zehentreiter Hi Peter, I will check it and report. Thomas

@Peter-Zehentreiter hello Peter, how do you disable the buttons app please? I’ll give that a try to see if it resolves the issues I’ve mentioned before.
-
@Jay-Salvo Hi together, I stopped the button app and like Peter described it is working now with My Route app. Google maps is not working anymore. Would be nice if it would be implemented to be able to use all apps. Is it a My Route issue or a issue of the button app? Who might have a look into it? Silverfox or My Route? Osmand and DMD is still working with deactivated buttons app.

@Thomas-Neumeyer Hi Thomas I think the buttons app is developed by DMD2, Im just waiting on a solution to the hardwire problem.
-
@Jay-Salvo I got similar feedback from Silverfox. Its DMD's issue.
-
@Thomas-Neumeyer The buttons app works fine with Osmand, Locus Maps, Kurviger, Googlemaps and DMDS, just not 100% with MRA, I know Peter has said use it with Bluetooth but that is not feasible and if all the other platforms work with the cable surely MRA can be configured that way also.

@Jay-Salvo
I have no cable, just bluetooth as I dont have any DMD device.
-
@Thomas-Neumeyer Yes its a DMD issue for sure.
Riku from SilverFox mentiond to me that he contacted Joao from the DMD Team,
Joao promised him he will have a look into that issue asap.Riku mentioned also ..to ask about this in the DMD FB forum to boost the feedback.
That was already April 5th!
I tried to contact somebody from the DMd Forum twice... no answer so far

@Peter-Zehentreiter I'll post in there too Peter, more people mention it then it might get sorted.

@Peter-Zehentreiter hi
I have the dmd t865x. Looking for a controller that works on both ends. So dmd and mra.
Hoe is the c1 doing? What can you do with c1? It has two joysticks and no buttons?
Do you prefer this above the h1?Greetings
Arjan

@Arjan-de-Vries Good morning Arjan, I can nothing say to the H1, because C1 in my first SilverFox controller, in the past I tried the Carpe Iter solution, but I did not get what I expected.
So before I bought the C1 I got in contact with SilverFox to sort out......
instaed the dmd tablet I am using Android smartphone in the BMW Cradle.Let talk about the MY Route app:
With the control stick I can zoom in and out in addition I can re-center, and switch between the different zoom settings ( north, dynamic, fixed).
The panning joystick allows me to move the map in all directions.
The joysticks respond to all commands very accurate.
The zoom behavior is different, e.g. in follow mode or when you follow a saved route.
In the follow mode the zoom goes fluid without any stops, when following a route you have to tap for each zoom level again.
There is another topic here in the forum, with reference to C1, where users reporting some litte issues in combination with the Button app ( which is probably installed on your dmd tablet.
Important is that the you have to disable in the button app the cable connection otherwise you will not be able to use the my route app without loosing some functions.
All in all I´m super happy with C1 controller.

It also depends on how much space you have on your motorcycle to mount the controller.
On my GS 1250, the C1 was the best solution... -
@Arjan-de-Vries @Peter-Zehentreiter The topic of this post is for the SilverFox B8J controller, please keep your posts on-topic.
Start a new topic if you want to talk about either the C1 or H1 controllers.
Thank you.
