The first 1500 km with "Route as Track" navigation
-
Cheers everybody,
I did extensive testing from last Friday to yesterday and only navigated using Route as Track navigation in offline mode. Why that? Because the mobile used for navigation has no internet access.
Navigation was really good, although some differences occured that I cannot explain. Skipping waypoints automatically is turned off. An example (or two^^)
As one can see, there clearly is a shaping point, but that was skipped. No big deal, but yet I´d like to know WHY this happened.
On another occasion, it didn´t tell the correct exit of a roundabout and routet me totally wrong until it noticed we cannot go back to the route and have to turn.
Here it also told me to use another exit of a roundabout, but in the end it returned to the planned route again.
Am I missing something, or should something like in the last example not happen while navigating a route as a track?
Another point: sometimes in smaller villages, it would want me to leave the main street to turn left or right for 50 or 100m and then return to the main street again. In my opinion that should not be possible, too.
Anyway, compared to my old TomTom Rider 450 / 500, using MRA for planning and navigation is much, much better! Thanks to the team and keep up the good work.
Regards from Austria,

Ok, think I solved that one with the skipped via point in the first picture. Now the road is blocked there. When I checked last Thursday, there was noch block. So I guess that they noticed HERE in advance of the block, so the data was online before the weekend.
