When i want to update the offline maps the setting for offline maps switch is set to off. Why can't this switch stay on while updating or set back to on when update is done. Saw this when i was navigating and not online and the navigation wouldn't recalculate.

If you have selected the Offline navigation option, the app is offline. It needs to be online to check for map updates. So it’s just a couple of manoeuvres required to switch online, check for any map updates and then go back to switch to offline again.
It is not necessary to check for map updates weekly, once a month or even longer is all that is required, so it really isn’t that much trouble to do. Most map updates are very small and the chances of them effecting your route is even smaller.

Always willing to help if I can.
